? about moving luggage

Hi all,

Just got a great rate (AP) at the BC but only for the 2nd two of y 3 night stay. I will be at CS, moving to BC (Concierge yippee!) for the last two nights. Since its such a short stay and I am not doing any other parks I won't have a car.

I think I read that I can leave my bag with bell services at CS and have them transfer to BC. I assume that I can check out of CS in the am, go to a park and check into the BC after 3 with my luggage meeting me at the BC.

Did I read this right and does anyone have first hand experience doing this?

I guess I could take my bag to BC early morning before going to a park and try for an early check in but it would be easier if bell services does indeed provide this service.

Have had them do it numerous times and have never had a problem. When you're checking out of CS, call the bell desk and tell them you need someone t pick up your bags for a resort transfer. They'll come up and get your bags and take down the name of your new resort. When you're done with your day, go to your new resort and check-in as usual, tell them you transferred bags from your previous resort. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my bags to be brought to my new room.

We've changed resorts a few times and found it easier to just grab a taxi and leave the bags at the hotel ourselves. The resorts let you know that your luggage will be delivered after 1:00pm if you have them do the transfer.

Hoping to use the resort to transfer and head out to the parks all day so after 1 isn't a problem. I can't check in until after three anyway right?

Anyone else have advice or comments?

My bags were lost during a resort transfer. Spend the $6 on the cab between the resorts and move them yourself.

We got early check in at both or our resorts. One at 11:30 am and the other at 2:00 pm. And that was pre Easter when Disney resorts were at capacity...we moved our own bags and checked them at bell services. Then when we ret'd from the park and checked in we got our bags within 10 minutes and headed for the pool...last thing you want is a hassle with your bags. I say get the taxi too.

I guess I will leave an extra 1/2 hour early, move from CS to BC via taxi and pre-check in. I can leave my bags with bell services myself and head to MGM. Then I can return to get my room assignment. Sounds like a plan to me!!

Just another post suggesting that you move the bags yourself. When we switched from PORiverside to the Poly, they took over 8 hours to deliver our bags, which finally arrived around 7 pm. Either move them yourself or pack a small bag with swimsuits and essentials and bring THAT over.
