Oooo, I forgot about Shawshank Redemption! Something about good prevailing over evil that gets right to my heart!

Jenn Lynn...I've watched them a couple of times with the subtitles and it's awesome what's in there that you don't really hear!

I've watched all the special features too :teeth:

I've gone back and read the books twice now. It's amazing how much easier they are to get through when you know the characters so well (even with big changes).

*sigh* November can't come quick enough!

Your DH thinks you're crazy? My kids think I'm a loon! :teeth:

This is SO me!

This weekend I watched the movies with the English subtitles. It's amazing how much of the dialoge you actually miss! I have also watched the extended DVD's with commentary by the cast and Peter, Fran, Phillipa. The commentary with Peter, Fran and Phillipa really gave me a better understanding of a lot of the scenes and where they were going with them. Great DVD's! I still have to watch the rest of the commentaries. :)

And I have not even watched half of the appendecies! Can't wait for ROTK extended DVD. :)

DH thinks I am nuts.

Nuts! They make the DVDs with so much information so we can enjoy it! What would be nuts is to purchase it and not watch it, IMO.

You should definitely check out the cast commentary. In FOTR, it's really quite entertaining (and its obvious that Sean Astin seriously envies Orlando Bloom's looks). I'll have to watch the Fran, Phillipa, Peter commentary...I've only watched it through certain scenes.

DH and I always spend hours during the Christmas holidays watching all the extras on the DVDs. It's become a tradition. We are very unhappy that this will be the last holiday season that we will be able to enjoy something new that is LoTR-related.

I love the movie Shag. I also find myself watching 8 Mile frequently, I think Eminem is SEXY.

All the animated Disney movies, The Beatles movies, Star Wars, LOTR, and This Is Spinal Tap:D

Dogma
Ocean's Eleven (the George Clooney version)
L.A. Confidential
Bridget Jones' Diary
LOTR trilogy
The Red Violin

Pirates, American P{resdient, You've Got Mail, When Harry Met sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Forrest Gump,

Lost in Translation
When Harrry Met Sally
Sleepless in Seattle
Shakespeare in Love
Blast From the Past

If dh is watching with me: Adam Sandler movies (Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Happy Gilmore...) and John Cusack movies (The Sure Thing, Say Anything...).

Of course all thats been playing in the house since I took dd to see the Lion King on Broadway has been Lion King, Lion King 1 1/2 and Lion King 2.

Thats what comes right to mind.

While You Were Sleeping (Of course! Check out my tag, lol)
The Wedding Planner
Sweet Home Alabama
You've Got Mail
Thirteen Going on 30
(The new) Peter Pan

Clue
High Society
Holiday Movies

Billy and Dom are hilarious! They really make the commentary for me.

I felt that some times Sean and Elijah got so bogged down in trying to explain the book and I really just wanted to hear them talk about there scenes and the stuff they did during filming. They were still good though. :)
