My new Vacation Planning DVD hasn't arrived yet so I was watching last year's again. It had never really registered with me before but this time, when the MS segments were playing, I noticed several people closing their eyes & turning their heads to the side. The warning signs everywhere say DON'T do these things.

I think I caught a Disney boo boo!! :earboy2: :teeth:

Can anyone tell me if the new DVD has the same things happening or have they changed it?

The tips that Disney gives are intended to assist those who may otherwise have severe problems with motion sickness on Mission Space. People who don't have problems with motion sickness are free to respond however they wish while on the ride. Guests are not breaking any rules by closing their eyes or moving their heads.

Now, if the ride videos showed folks climbing out of the shoulder harness on Rock N Rollercoaster, you might have a beef. ;)

You're correct that no rules are being broken if the warnings aren't followed! I have no beef with the video & I didn't mean it to come across that way. I just found it a bit ironic that a lot of emphasis is placed on those warnings, yet the video shows riders doing exactly the opposite of what they are warned not to do. It just seemed like a little 'oopsie' on Disney's part to me & I was having a little lighthearted fun with it (maybe it's one of those days I have too much free time on my hands) ! ;) :rotfl2:

It seems this ride can be an anomaly. Nobody knows how they will react until after they have been on it. I've read posts from people who said they had problems when they've never experienced motion sickness on other rides. Other posters who have had problems on other attractions had none on MS. There may be others but, right now, I can't recall another ride at Disney that provides barf bags by each seat (I definitely follow the warnings & so far, so good...hope I can say that after my next ride!). :p

Actually, come to think of it, they used to do something similar with the Tower of Terror clips. Remember those shots of all of the guests STANDING as the car came crashing down... :scared:

Guess it's just a little poetic license.

My ds is at that age where he has to defy everything. Of course, he turned his head sideways. His advice...don't do it! It really gets your stomach!

LOL, Foxfire! Thats a good point. ;)
I just wish everyone would follow thoe directions. ;) Its tough to enjoy the ride when the person next to you is getting sick.
