On our last trip to Disney World we purchased mickey mouse ears, but did not have them embroiderd. Does anyone know if I can still have this done and where at, since i've already purchased the hats? Not sure if you have to purchase them from the store and have embroidered on the same day! Would like to have it done on our next trip in November! Thankyou!:goodvibes

I don't know if you have to purchase them at the time, but I remember getting our kids' embroidered at a shop in the studios. I was close to the entrance on the right as you enter. Hopefully someone else will chime in with better info.

I purchased my ears and got them embroidered at the shop in the studios and I was told they would not embroider on them after they have been worn.

When we got ears they were at a shop on the main street at MK. They embrodered them right away.

We got them done at the Christmas shop at DTD. You have to leave them and come back for them though.
I think it was 6-10 dollars. I can't rmemeber for sure it was 4 years ago. At that time I couldn't find a single place in the parks to do it, and asked tons of CM's and none had a clue, excpet DTD.

Last year we bought ears and had them embroidered at Sir Mickey's in MK. It is on the right, right after you walk through the castle headed to Fantasyland.

I don't remember what we paid, but we had a choice of different styles and colors of stitching.

We only had to wait about 5-10 minutes.

You can buy the ears anywhere at WDW and get them embroidered at any of the embroidery locations as long as you have the purchase receipt and have not worn the ears.

You can actually have almost anything embroidered that you buy at WDW if you have not worn it and you still have the receipt. I had a vest I bought at AK embroidered a couple of months later because I did not wear it and I still had the receipt.

My DD wore her hat all week and had it embroidered the last day of the trip. They never even asked if she had worn it, and we did have the receipt too, to prove we hadn't stole it. LOL!

We bought ears at the hat shop on main street it is behind the confectionary next to Tony's. They do the embroidery there. I can't say for sure, but I would think they would do it for you. They were so accomodating to us. Since the script I picked the J turned out wierd, they did it again on another hat. Actually took them 3 times before I said does it always do this? She said yes on J's so I said then do another script. My gosh they could have been there all day.
So since they were that nice, I would think they would do it for you. That is a great souvie, my son wore them all week.
Good luck, and the cost is cheap, less than $10. Cost depends on which script you pick.

what kind of things can you get on the ears? i don't feel comfortable putting my kids names on it, but maybe their initials and the date of their first trip? enough room for that? or woukd it be an option to put name on inside of hat?

You can get the embroidery done at The Chapeau in the Magic Kingdom. It's the little blue store as you enter, right next to The Confectionary.

You can purcahse your hats anywhere and take them there. Even if they are older hats, you can still take them in. The wait time varies. If you wait until parade/firework time, the wait can be 2 hours. It's best to drop them off in the morning and then go back later in the day and get them.

There are 3 fonts: traditional, fun, and script. Traditional is $3 and fun and script are each $7. The colors they have are black, gold, white, and hot pink.

The Chapeau will only sew proper names.

I got my ears embroidered at Mouse Gears - Epcot. I went there during the night and there was just one person in front of me but he was almost finished when I arrived. It took maybe three minutes and I watched them doing it (the machine, actually! :rotfl:) while I talked to a very nice CM. I did not buy my ears there and they got a little bit confused with that. But it is a Disneyland ears, not Walt Disney World, so they knew I didn't steal it, at least not from their store! :lmao: But I didn't take the Disneyland sticker ( the one with the barcode) off so they knew it was original Disney Parks merchandise. I was wearing them for the whole week but that didn't seem to be a problem.

You probably don't have the receipt for the ears, but I'm sure you can explain the situation to a CM and they will understand it! :goodvibes

These are my ears. It's the traditional font in Gold. I couldn't take it off the whole trip. I'm just posting the picture because I love them so much. :lovestruc
