Just curious- is there EVER a place you can meet (get picture/autograph) of Belle in her GOWN? I just found it curious that she was always in the blue/white dress when all the shirts/etc. you buy of her has her in her yellow ball gown. My youngest kept asking why wasn't she dressed up like a princess like she's SUPPOSED to be now. LOL

So is she always in the blue/white dress and never in her gown for you to meet her that way like Cinderella/etc? If not, I find that odd. Wouldn't it be odd if they had Cinderella always in her rags dress as the poor stepchild instead of in her gown as the princess?

In my many trips to WDW I have never heard/seen Belle in yellow gown for meet and greets. One reason might be because of large hoop skirt and the possiblity of a child getting knocked over.

I have heard that I can get her in yellow dress on cruise though.

We saw Belle in Toontown. Inside the large gift shop (Sorry, can't remember the name right now) you can get in one of three character lines. Princesses are one of them. Although I think that they are subject to change, we saw Belle, Cinderella and Aurora.

Check out the pic!

Aha! So there IS a place to meet/greet her in her gown! (and you can see from the picture it's not a hoop skirt so it wouldn't hinder her anymore than any other princess). We've seen her in several places including Character meals and she's always been in the blue/white dress! We'll have to check that out- thanks aikman!

meeting her in her gold dress is new!!!! I am so EXCITED!!

I "know" Belle and could not even meet her in her gold dress - it is about time they did this!!!!!

great I'll have to check out tt princess room on next trip. Belle must have been off time we went to princess room. thank you for picture.

Wow! Finding Belle in her yellow gown in meets and greets is very very unusual! Maybe Disney will get her out in her "princess" dress more often! :)

Belle does appear at Toontown in her ball gown, but she is unfortunatly not a regular character there- Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora are. Belle stops by when she can or when one of the usual 3 can't. She does, however, appear in her gown regularly on the Disney Cruise Line and at Disneyland.

I heard somwhere on these boards that she has a special Christmas dress that she wears at MVMCP. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, it is the crimson gown she wears in "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas". She wears it in the parade and usually in meet-and-greets (I know the past couple of years she was on Main Street). She however does not wear the gown for her storytime at the party. She just wears her blue village dress with a red coat over it.

Great to know!! My DD will be happy! Thanks!

Apparently Belle always appears in her yellow gown at meet and greets at Disneyland...nobody really understood how THRILLED we were to see her dressed this way during our trip in May. But, at our Disneyland princess breakfast, she could not "squeeze" her gown through the room we were eating in, so we had to meet her in the lobby. That probably explains why she is dressed in blue at PSB and CRT.

Also, we saw Belle in her red Christmas gown at MVMCP and she was beautiful!
