I went to budget.com to reserve a rental car for our WDW trip in May. I applied a code from mousesavers.com to get a cheaper price, picked out the car type I wanted and clicked "reserve." Then I got the final page that thanked me for choosing Budget Rent a car, and then gave me my confirmation number and all the price/car detail, terms/conditions and all that good stuff. I also got an email confirmation with the confirmation number and all other details.

Here's the thing I am wondering about...I never was asked for my credit card number. I just hit reserve and the site thanked me. I thought for sure I'd need to hold the reservation with a credit card. Is this normal? Should I call them to confim my reservation?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Yes this is normal. I did not confirm my ressie's with Dollar. They don't require a credit card #, they just request that you cancel your ressie if you're not going to use it. Lots of times, people will reserve more than 1 car rate while they're checking out prices.
I've actually gotten a price on a rental, then the very next day found that the price went up. Sometimes within a couple of hours, so it's ok to go ahead and reserve the car, but still shop around, if you find something better, cancel the first. BTW, if you forget to cancel, there isn't any charge to you.
