? about laundry at VWL

Good Morning!!! I just booked VWL at the 7month window for May. When we stayed there last Summer (2010), the only laundry was in the main building. Not only was it quite a hike and crowded, but you had to pay! Imagine my delight when we next stayed at AKL-K and it was right there and free...

Any chance they have changed this??? Thanks for your help!!!

The DVC laundry room is in the DVC building. On the first floor, facing the elevators, go down the hallway that's to the left, and the room is on the right. As in all DVC's the machine use is free. It may look as if it takes money, but it doesn't.

The laundry room at VWL has been there since they opened the villas at WL.

Well, I'm an idiot!!! LOL!!! When we were there I asked staff and was directed to the laundry by Roaring Forks...

it should be but it might not. the only laundry mats that are on the maps these days are at OKW and SSR.

this is behind the elevators - so as bobbiwoz says just go down the hall - it is on the right side (coming from the elevators) and it is the first or second door on the right side. It might say vending - not laundry - but that is it - it is in the second room.

the staff is not aware of it - in most cases - besides it is to Disney advantage that you use the cash laundry mat - think about it.

you also need to take your key (ID) room key.

they are locking the laundry mats so only guests staying in the DVC part can use them.

guess it is to kept WL guests out.

so far they have refused. say it is to our advantage not to have them on the maps.

that is great if you know where they are - if you don't - well you can understand how the op got mixed up.

the AK (jambo house) CM at the front desk were still saying there was not a laundry mat on the 5th floor for DVC.... when there was definitely one. the CM don't know alot about DVC.
