Ok so lets say I plan a 2 week trip to Disney. Can I book the first week using the kids free deal at a moderate resort and the second week using the % off at a deluxe resort? If the answer is yes, would I be able to use any unused ticket days from the first week during the second week or will the tickets expire at midnight on checkout day?

Yes, that can be done and if you buy extended tickets with your first package they would be good for 14 days from first use.

Yes. A MYW ticket expires 14 days after the first day of use, not when you check out.

You can absolutely do what you're asking. Just be aware that the maximum days you can put on a ticket is 10.

If you're going to do more than 10, it would probably pay to upgrade the tickets on your first package to an AP and get all the associated benefits. If you're worried about messing up dining credits, just upgrade after your dining credits expire.

It might be cheaper to do the % off for the entire trip. It worked out this way for our family. We had free dining, then I called this morning and used the %off instead...saved us another $200. The "kids free" didn't give us that much off compared to the other. It might be worth calling and let them run the numbers for you.
