About how long, start to finish?

Okay, we decide and I pick up the phone and tell DVC to light this candle. How long before we're members and can make a ressie?

I've already made a Dec ressie at the Poly, do you think I'll have time to cancel it and rebook using my points? (Which I know goes against conventional wisdom, but we've planned this specific trip for a while, emphasizing Poly which we all love, and we'll basically have double points starting in Sept, so I'm willing to spend a little extra pointage and still get some early value from joining DVC. I promise I won't use points for a deluxe again! For a few years at least.)

if you buy now, you should have time to change the reservation. What you should do is hold the one you have now and when you can book with DVC, call ms and see if it is available. If it is not, you can always keep your current reservation and rent out your points to pay for it. Usually you can get $10 per point. This way you will guarantee your stay at The Poly.
