Anyone have micro suede furniture with a Golden? Does the fur cling to it really bad? Thanks!

We have had goldens for over 20 years....their fur clings to EVERYTHING. We have a leather sofa and that doesn't do too badly.......

.....that being said, daily brushing eliminates much of the mess. Think of it this way- you can brush the dog or vacuum- which ever you hate more, do the other. We also have our current golden, Seamus, professionally groomed (yes, furminated!) and that helps quite a bit. It is actually the hound that seems to leave little short hairs that are harder to vacuum up.....and we won't even talk about the cat hair!!!

We have a Golden and a microfiber sofa and we do not have any problems at all with the fur clinging to the sofa. Our dog is NOT allowed on the sofa (and does not get up - too lazy I think :thumbsup2 ) so if your dog is not going to be on the sofa it should be fine.

Now, if he is going to lounge on the sofa I would think that would be a whole 'nuther story! :rotfl:

I can't really answer your question, but we have a Lab and a microfiber sofa and chair and have no problem with it at all. We also have a cat and have no problems with her hair clinging either.

Edit: After reading all of DVC Daisy's post, I should probably say we do not allow the Lab on the furniture either, but the cat is allowed.

We have a lab and a micro suede chair and the hair doesn't cling at all and that's a miracle considering how much hair shows up in the rest of my house. We also have a constantly shedding cat and same thing - no hair.
