? about getting best price?

My DW and DD5 and I (DH!) made our first trip to WDW in June '02 and we now feel like true Americans! So now we would like to book the Disney Cruise for summer '03. We are already Disney Club members and will remain so. Is the Club the best way to get a discount on a cruise? Any other money saving tips? Plus we will drive down from Chicago area and I wonder if I can park right by the ship (in the brochure there is a pic of a huge lit parking lot right next to the ship). Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately for the summer months, there aren't any discounts to be had. The Disney Club currently offers a $50 onboard credit, but no other discounts.
That said, to get the best rate for summer, you probably want to book right away. The Early Booking Savings will be the best discount that you can get. Although you can shop around on some of the discount sites for savings.

There is a parking lot right at the terminal. I believe the current rate is $8-10 a night. Many people stay at the Radisson at The port in Cape Canaveral which offers free cruise parking after you stay. The rates are pretty reasonable, as low as $59 with specials......but, generally in $80-$100 price range. A real bargain if you deduct what the cruise parking would cost you.

We booked through Costco( lowest I could find) but have not sailed yet so do not know if this was a good decision. They were helpful with the DC discount as well as checking on cabin availabilty. Some reps were more helpful than others just as with Disney! Just call back until got one that was having a good day!

First shop around. Call as many places as you can and get the best rate. This is what I did and saved around $150. Then I went to AAA with that price and they matched it. Plus AAA gives a shipboard credit (at least for me) free soda's for all in party, and then when I picked up the tickets last week, our travel agent gave us a $50 gift card for the AAA store, 2 autograph books for the kids and 2 LARGE beach towels. Not bad.
