Just booked our first stay at GCH with a theme park view/concierge level. Besides having access to drinks and snacks through out the day, what else can we expect as far as amenities? We are super excited, we always choose the cheapest hotels and figured it was definately time for a splurge.

Also, does anyone have any experience with the Pinochio child care area? DH and I would like to eat at Napa Rose one night and know the 9 year old would rather have mac n cheese so were thinking of taking her there but was wondering what other parents/kids have experienced first.

Thanks in advanced!

My 9yo dd loves Pinocchio's Workshop!

Concierge will be a breakfast in the morning(cold cereals, fruits, pastries, juice, milk, coffee, tea, they also had instant oatmeal), tea in the afternoon(finger sandwiches, scones, veggies, desserts, chocolate dipped strawberries), in the evening they will have a hot appetizer, assorted cheeses, vegetables, desserts with wine and beer offered. After that they have cordials with cookies and assorted desserts while they do a short story/song telling for the kids.

The concierge rooms are the same as the regular hotel rooms, so there is no difference there.

Right on! Thank you! The last time we had dinner at Napa Rose my BFF was there with us and kindly volunteered to watch the kids so we could have a nice quiet dinner by ourselves. This time she wont be there so I think we'll take advantage of the Pinocchio's workshop...She is a pretty social girl and I think she will love it!

And the different food sounds yummmy! cant wait to try stuff!

There is a pretty good view of fireworks from the concierge lounge balcony and they pipe the music in too, which is great if you are too tired to brave the crowds in the park!

Concierge is great - they will spoil your DD! You can also borrow DVDs (just about every Disney movie) from the concierge desk on the 6th floor. The food in the lounge was great - they encourage you to take extras for the parks, too! So each morning we grabbed some bagels, fruit and cereal, as well as bottled water, to bring along for snacks. We also loved just having the lounge to hang out in - a great place to relax that has games and kids' activities too.

Oh - but the best part was that, while we waited for what seemed like forever for WOC to start, my DH ran back to the lounge and grabbed drinks and cookies to eat while waiting! My kids remember that a year later. :)

Have a great trip!!

:thumbsup2 cant wait!

My only suggestion would be to request the same floor as the lounge. That way if you want to grab a thing or two and take it back to the room, you can go in your pj's. :goodvibes We absolutely love the mickey scones. They are delicious.

We have two children 7 and 5. They both loved Pinnochios. Make sure to go a little early though because there are tons of documents you have to fill out. The staff is really nice and when you get home they send you a little thank you note. Definitely first class....

You can pick the paperwork up ahead of time when you make your reservation for your dd. That way when you drop her off you can be on your way quickly. If there are fireworks that night, the CMs at PW will take her up to view them. If she likes crafts(as all 9yo girls do!), she will be in heaven.

This was a few years ago not sure if they still do it, but they did a cookies and milk storytelling one night for the kids. The kids all showed up in their pj's and sat on the ground.

They still did that last year. It was really cute, they put a bunch of pillows on the floor for the kids to lounge on.
