? about FOTL........

We will be staying at the RPR on July 6th and July 7th. There will be 2 adults and 2 children. I was told that everyone in our party would have a "key". I have heard some people on here state that sometimes they scan these before boarding the rides. What does these cards have on them? Your name? What hotel? Your age? or etc. Just wondering exactly how these "cards" or "keys" work.

Each hotel has a different key with their logo on it, so the logo is on the key, then they are printed with your name, dates of your stay, and some other junk, so each person will have a personalized key to present at each ride, which they will sometimes scan (and sometimes not).

Correct, each person staying in your room, or at the RPR, will receive a room key, this key has each persons name, age, length of stay dates, etc.... this key is used not only to get into your room, but as your fotl key, ( we had the front desk punch holes in our keys, then we put them on lanyards and wore around our necks) at the rides you WILL have to at least show your card, and in most cases, they WILL scan it.

It's a "magic" card.......... you will agree when the regular lines are 2-3 hours and your wait is only 10 -15 minutes at most!!!!

Another neat thing is you can ask them for charging privledges on the keys and they work like credit cards in the parks/hotels. This is good if you are going for the water rides. Just take your AP and the key and that is all you need. You can even swim with them.

Which Resorts offer these FOTL Cards?

I have heard about them but not sure how to get one.

The three onsite hotels (Portofino, Hard Rock, and Royal Pacific) allow Universal Express access using your room key, there's not a separate card, it's just your key.
