Do most men/boys wear tuxes on formal and semi-formal nights? We never ever dress up at home and I was thinking of a navy blazer and khakis for my DS4 and possibly my DH...with a white shirt and tie on formal night and a light blue shirt, no tie on semi-formal night. Would that be OK or would they feel out of place?

I'm struggling with what to bring myself. I'm trying to keep the packing down or my wife will be having the porters carrying those old time Steamer Trunks like in Titanic!

I plan to at least have a couple dressy button down shirts and a couple of ties....maybe a sportscoat. Maybe.

It's your vacation...don't worry what others think as long as you aren't 'breaking the rules'! :groom:

I saw very few men in tuxes on our last 7 day cruise, a lot wore suits, some just wore dress shirts and dress pants and then some others I saw were wearing polo shirts and dockers.

It all depends on what you are comfortable with. On our last cruise my DH wore a tux for formal (along with many others). There were also alot of people in suits too. My suggestion is go in what you feel comfortable in, just not jeans or shorts.

For the last couple of cruises, we have rented a tux for my husband, including shoes. Being over 6 ft. tall, it saves a lot of space in the suitcase not having to pack coat, pants, shoes, etc. Plus he looks so handsome. The tux is waiting right in your stateroom when you get there. Wear it and then leave it - convenient! As far as my sons, for the first cruise I bought suits. On the last one, I was able to find tuxes for $35 at Marshalls. So many people commented on how nice our family looked! We had our pictures taken on formal night and used them as Christmas cards. We normally don't dress up at home so we make it a special occasion on the cruise. Just my thoughts!

I think I'll try and convience DH and DS to wear tux's, I'll tell them they won't have to pose for pic under tree for Christmas card :)
I know I saw a web site for ordering tux's thru DCL but I didn't save it
Can someone help - after all I only have 460 days till cruise - so much to plan so little time LOL
Thanks
Lil
