I switched my October ressie today to take advantage of the FD promotion. I had to buy 2, 1 day MYW tix for DS and MS. We plan on using our 10 day non-exp. tickets we already have. The CM said as long as I didn't activiate the new tix, they would be good indefinately; so, basically I'll have two one-day tix to use whenever. (I don't want to use these on our trip this time because we want to hop, and our 10days are hoppers, what I bought aren't).

Anyway, the CM said the ticket would be on our room key, as usual. I"m wondering if they can transfer it to someother (paper) ticket. I'm nervous about hanging onto a used room-key to keep as a ticket for a few years. Does that make sense? Does anyone know if you can have the ticket removed from the room key and switched to another form?

Thanks. Kind of a weird question that's been bugging me! :confused3

I am wondering the same thing. We are in the same circumstances, and in the past I just toss my room key when we get home..but now it is valuable! So I am wondering if it can be transferred to a paper ticket. I'm betting no, but I will keep looking in here to see what others say.

personally I would think hanging on to a room key card would be safer than a paper ticket. But I've read on here that you can just go up to the concierge and they'll seperate the two. Just make sure you keep a copy of the original receipt from the room/ticket package in a safe spot and then they can be redeemed that way as well.

I had a non expiration ticket moved from a room key to a paper ticket. It was done for me at guest relations at the theme park.

I frequently take advantage of packages buying one day park tickets. What I like to do is keep a copy of the reservation along with the ticket media be it room key or paper. Tickets from each reservation are kept wrapped in the reservation page, then I know which tickets have which days.

To complicate things we also have 8 days left of plus visits from a really old MYW 10 day non-ex, so I track my water park visits on the reservation page wrapper.

I keep all the ticket media at home in a small safe, not that I am worried about them being stolen, but so I know where to find them when it is time to visit the world.

I am glad someone asked about this because I made a change last week to our August reservations.....but I have some questions.....
Ok here's what we did. Changed a room only reservation for Aug 13-16 and added 8 day park hopper tickets to that reservation. Took away our 7 day hopper tickets to our 2nd reservation beginning on Aug 16th-22nd....and added one day base tickets to maintain the free dining deal. We are staying at the Pop the entire time but will have to re-check-in on the 16th. Originally we had thought we would not go to parks on the 13th, 14th and 15th and we would enjoy DD and the resort....yeah right.....reality hit and we knew we would be dying to go to the parks so we made this change to save money and maintain our free dining package beginning on the 16th...Make sense??? Now I have more questions.....
Questions:
1. Will we have two sets of room keys to keep this all straight?? Since one days worth of tickets are not hoppers they will need to be separate right?? We will be doing one MK day during our stay so we would want to use that ticket then....
2. How will using the old keys (from the 13th- 16th) for park entry effect EMHs??? Will we be able attend EMHs because our stay on property for those keys is over even though we are still on property for the remainder of our stay????
3. Am I overlooking anything??? I feel like I have made a big mess with all these last minute changes....HELP:scared1::scared1::scared1::
