? about Fantasmic pkg at Mama Melrose's

Are there any restrictions on what we can order at Mama's if we book with the dinner pkg? I know the pkg includes an appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage. Any other restrictions we should know about before booking?

Also, any idea how late in the evening they book the dinner pkgs? We're hoping to get it for a 9pm Fantasmic show yet still see the Hyperspace Hoopla event (which I think starts at 7). We'd prefer to eat dinner after the SW events are over but I don't know if they book the dinner pkg that late or if that would leave us time to eat and make the show. Anyone done this?

I believe there are no menu restrictions.

There's no way you'll be able to book a Fantasmic package for after 7:30 PM. They're likely to be at 5 PM or before. Latest I have ever seen is 5:30 but they might be booking even earlier now.

Some people have reported that they were not able to order the calamari because it is listed as an appetizer for two, unless someone else at the table orders it as their appetizer as well. We'll be there in a few weeks and will likely order the calamari, so I can post back and let you know how that works out. The antipasto is also listed as an appetizer for two.

We have never had any issue ordering anything off the menu. My BF and I both ordered the calamari back in 2008 as our appetizer (and got our own plates with huge servings...neither one of us could finish it) so I don't know if that is something that has changed since then as far as that particular appetizer.

I hope that is still the case, Kathy! I can probably convince DD10 to order it with me if necessary, but I definitely want to give it a try.

You can order appetizers listed as serving 2 for one person on the Fantasmic! package. DH had the calamari and DS15 had the antipasto for 2. They were huge portions and very yummy.

I second that you can order the calamari for one person. At least I was able to last January.

There were no restrictions for us in August when we went. We could order anything including appetizers for two.

In terms of time, I just booked Fantasmic Mama Melrose's for a night with an 8:30 pm Fantasmic show only. I was given 4pm, that was all that was available. The CM I spoke with told me that the package was only available for seatings from 4 until 5 or possibly 5:30. I was calling about 100 days out for a very busy time, so not surprising that the later times were gone.

I called at 0600ET at 180 days out trying to get the Fantasmic pkg for my upcoming May trip. For some reason it was not available until three days later (believe me I called for everyone of those three days at exactly 0600ET. On the third day I got it, but the latest time available was 4:45pm.

As far as restrictions, there are none. Last May, we even got virgin pina colavas as our drink. We were on the basic DDP, but still got an appetizer too.

What about kids restrictions? will they have to order off the kids normal appetizer/entree/desert 'kids picks' menu?
