I've recently encounter a problem with my ISP getting a newsletter that I signed up to get via email which got me to thinking. I've never gotten any kind of emials from DVC and I signed up for that too. So, I emailed DVC and the reply I got was that they no longer do an email newsletter (which when you sign up it says they do) and that they only send mass emails for specials (I've never gotten any of these either). So, now I don't know if it's my ISP or not. I recently set up a free Yahoo email account to see if I get them there. Am I missing anything? I've seen here where other members have gotten emails about changes in DDE and other things. Also, we only just bought resale the end of this summer. I did get a welcome kit in the mail with a 2007-2008 planner. I haven't gotten a 2008-2009 yet. I also got 1 DisneyFiles Magazine. Am I missing anything via regualr mail too? Nobody ever tells you what you should or shouldn't be getting. TIA for any insight or info.

I haven't gotten my new planner yet either, they are running late this year.

Disney mass emails often come from the chtah.com server, and some ISPs block them as spam. Also spam filters may throw them into your spam box.

I got a sales email from DVC on the 14th from disneyvacationclub@dvc.chtah.com

I've checked my SPAM folder, have put disneyvacationclub@dvc.chtah.com in my safe list and have gone round and round with Verizon regarding the fact that those emails are OK and still nothing. I tried signing up again with my Yahoo address on the 11th and haven't gotten anything-maybe it takes a little while. I also made sure their address is listed as a contact with Yahoo so that they know it not SPAM.

I signed up to receive emails in the beginning (this past summer) and never received anything. I went back in to my preferences, and it said I didn't want emails. So I changed it back. Then I saw on the boards people referencing an email that I didn't receive, so I went back in. And guess what? It showed I didn't want to receive emails again!
I did finally get last week's. I'm curious to see how long it is before it changes back on me again.

Another problem I've had with other places is that even though my email address is updated in their system, the emails still get sent to my old email address.

Come to think of it, I have received there special announcements, but don't receive the newsletter:confused3. Notice you mentioned trying to fix this w/Verizon, Good Luck with that one. Going round and round is what they seem to do best.

Thanks for the tip! I just checked on my prfile and it was not checked. I know that it was when i frist signed up. I will see if i get future emails. I did get the confirmation email saying that my profile preferences had been updated.

There really isn't an email newsletter anymore for DVC. :sad1: I don't know why, it surely would have been less expensive than sending out the Vacaton Magic, or whatever it is called now.
