1. Are they still doing the Electrical Water Pagant? If so do they do it nightly? What time do they do this, we're going in early Oct.? From past posts it looks like they do at about 9pm. Is this info current and correct?

2. In early Oct. it looks like the MK closes at 6pm. Do they do fireworks every night? Or has that been cut back to once or twice a week? I know Sprecto is only once or twice a week in slow season, but I'm not sure about the fireworks. If the park closes at 6pm and they do have fireworks, what time do they normally have them?

Thanks,
Pammy

1) Yes, nightly if weather permits.

Schedule from All Ears Net. Seems to pretty close to these times when I have visited.

Polynesian Resort -- 9:00pm
Grand Floridian -- 9:15pm
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35pm
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45pm
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05pm
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20pm (only during extended MK park
hours)

2) I do not know about Oct., but it seems the fireworks are becoming more routine. This past November and early February (non peak time visits), fireworks were most every night. The time has generally been at closing during the week. Spectro has been limited to weekends.

Regards.

TY so much! You're reply is a huge help!! Thanks for posting the EP times, so I can try and plan something special around it for one night.

That's what it sort of looked like on Disney's website. When we were there it was June so they were everynight, but the time before was Sept. and they were only on Tues and Sat. So when I went to check out what's posted now, it looks like they are getting shot off most nights. I'll just make my dinner plans around this time and if it works out great, more magic, and if not it's now big deal, there's always next time!!

I'll give you my perspective from two separate, recent, non-peak trips:

September '02 - Spectromagic ran all week except for Wednesday. The Fireworks did not run at all during our trip, which was Sunday thru Thursday. I believe they did the fireworks on Saturday night, perhaps Friday as well.

January '03 - Spectromagic ran ONE night (Tuesday), and the fireworks were nightly.

Based upon those two experiences, it looks like Disney tries to "mix things up" every so often. You should have every opportunity to experience both the fireworks and spectromagic if you're visiting for a week. Just keep your plans a bit flexible until the official hours are posted.

Yes they do change things around a lot! I've noticed that too over the years.

Right now I'm just working on a rough outline, trying to figure out places to eat and such. I wanted the times to try and guess what would be a ok PS time knowing that it may work out and may not. If it does great!! That will make it even more special! Like one meal I want to do O'Hana and maybe wander out after dinner and sit on the beach and watch the Electric Water Pagant. I'm just not telling anyone about these things, so I don't get their hopes up! My FIL and MIL might be joing us now. If it works out then they'll be very surprised!

We do plan on doing both, because Specto is the BEST!!! I'll figure out actual days once the hours and such are posted, which probably won't be until June or July.

The main thing was finding out if they even did the EWP since it's been a few years since we saw it and with the cutbacks I didn't know if that had been effected. I'm glad they didn't get rid of it.
