? about Desert Inn and Suites

We called last year and was told the friday of the week we wanted was sold out. We hung up checked the website but it still showed available. I had my sister call (since we were traveling with them) and she was able to book it no problem.......maybe he liked her voice better :lmao:

We stayed there last month and thought it was great. Very clean, no problems at all. We ended up having to leave the hotel twice while we were there and had no problems finding a new parking spot when we came back. It is now our hotel of choice. We just booked our next trip tonight, can't wait. You just can't beat $79 a night for a suite!

I did a pretty comprehensive review a couple of weeks ago with pictures and all if you want to search for it.

We go to DL several times a year, and the DIS is our home away from home. I never even bother to shop around. We are given great rates, the room is fine for our family (we like having a microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker in the room--once or twice we've even used the ironing board!). I almost always have three or four upcoming reservations; booking in advance almost always guarantees the best possible rate.
:cool1:

As a matter of fact... this is another thing we like about the DI. We always book their largest suite and end up with 3 tvs. Not that we actually need that many but it is handy after 1/2 of us have gone to bed and the other 1/2 wants to stay up. They are maybe something like 27", or so. They also have pay per view which works great for us. After a long day at DL we have food delivered and relax while watching a movie. Unfortuantely, sometimes it is necessary to keep a close eye on some of the channels with children in the room.

You can partially see the fireworks from the room but not too much and without any sound. Best to view from the roof. There the view is pretty good but they don't offer to many seats. So much better actually in the park.

We were in a Parlor A suite with 2 adults and 2 children. In the front little room my 4 year old slept on the pull out sofa and my 1 year old in the portacrib. That little room was tight but it worked well for us and we got a really reasonable price. $79 a night for a suite is wonderful!

We were able to see the fireworks, not a great view but we could see them. We were on the 4th floor towards the back of the hotel.

I would suggest this place to anyone.
