?? About Desert Inn and Suites parking fee

I will be staying at the Desert Inn and Suites in early Nov for 6 night and was wondering if their parking fee of $9.00 is charged even if you do not have a car parked there? On my reservation form it has the resort fee + the parking fee included in the total so I am confused if it is a mandatory? Over 6 night that fee is a bit much for not even needing to use it.

Also, are all the stand rooms the same? Are some remodeled and some not? My main thing is I would rather have a softer bed and be closer to the front of the hotel.

The parking charge appears on the reservation information. When you check in, if you don't have a vehicle they remove the parking fees.
If you want a room near the front and one with softer beds, call and ask for this information to be added to your reservation.
I've stayed in rooms near the front of the DI&S and it was nice to save a few steps at the end of the day.
As far as bed firm vs soft...... I think their beds are fine. I don't consider them too firm or too soft. After a full day in the parks I could probably sleep on about anything.
We have stayed the many times and I'm sure we'll stay there again sometime. It's one of the few locations where I can get a room set up to sleep 6 or more people. I really like the size of the room safes they have. Plenty of room for larger laptops and cameras.
They also have a locker room to lock your luggage up if your room isn't ready due to early checkin. We could get two carry-on bags in one locker.

I always watch the itemized bill to be sure the fee is removed. If you do have a vehicle, they will generally let you park the full day you are checking out. I believe you do have to pay for the day if you are there after 2pm. At least you don't have to move your car though.

I agree to double check the itemized bill, but I had no problem removing parking from mine back in February.

The first time we stayed there, we got a room right at the front (two or three rooms from the very front on the second floor) and it was perfect, but the bed was soooo horrible. Most recently when we stayed, I asked them if I could have room near that room number I stayed before. When I checked in, they acknowledged my request and said they got me as close as possible. Close meant the absolute farthest room from my original request, literally 2/3 rooms from the very back on the second floor. BUT, the bed was amazing, completely different, so I didn't mind the extra walk, but it definitely makes a difference.
