We are taking our yearly trip to Vero this June and we always stay at WDW before and after Vero. This year is the first year that we have had APs and will be able to go to the parks for 3 days. We will be there the 2nd week of June and were worried about the crowds. We always do our park trips during Sept, Oct and Dec when the crowds are manageable. Has anyone traveled at this time and can tell me about the crowds?:confused3

We were there last June 18-28. The crowds were not bad, but the heat was definitely turned up. We did use TGM, so that may have had something to do with the fact that waits were doable.

We have traveled in every part of the summer except the last two weeks of August. In our stays we found that throughout the summer the crowds are at pretty high levels every day.

However, I must add that there are a couple of things going for you to manage the crowds:

1. Extended park hours. Parks are open longer each day.

2. Extended attractions....for the most part, everything is open and no rehabs during the summer including pools.

3. EMH....use it and you will find that it works very well, especially the evening additional hours.

4. FastPasses...make sure you use them judiciously and you will be able to see and do everything you want.

Honestly, the bigger factor than crowds during the summer is the heat. That has to be managed too. :cool2:

We went to WDW once during the week of the 4th of July and yes it was very hot and the parks were crowded but we managed with no real complaints.
With the heat you need to pace yourself, take breaks back to the hotel during the heat of the day and make sure to seek out indoor air-conditioned
rides and attractions (even gift shops).
