? about cheerleaders and where they stay

Just wondering if anyone knows if blocks of rooms are saved in certain resorts for the cheerleaders or do they just tend to stay at certain resorts? When we checked into POR last year the CM said cheerleaders had just left and that they had been very noisy early in the morning. (We didn't ask he just mentioned it)
We're thinking of Pop Century this January or Feb. Anyone have any idea if this would be a spot for the cheerleaders?

They usually stay at value & moderate resorts because of the lower cost. They probably pay for the rooms via fundraisers, so staying at a value resort makes sense.

I'm just guessing that POP will be a big hit with the cheerleaders. We always go in Feb. but never really have a big problem with them. We stay at a moderate or deluxe. They are usually at a value but sometime they are at CRB or POR. We did not see any at CS.

Just to add to the previous poster--we did have cheerleaders and football players at CSR two years ago. We also saw them at POR and all the All Stars. I would think that PC would be a prime place for these groups since it is situated so close to the Wide World of Sports Complex. I might add that we did not encounter any problems with any of these groups.

When do the football players and cheerleaders usually stay at the resorts.

Just curious because I have heard they get quite loud and I have two small children.

My stepdaughters are competiting at "Contest of Champions" from 2/27 - 3/1 at World of Sports. As of now, they are staying at All-Star, but not sure which resort.

Here is the scoop I got while at WDW last December. A CM at POR told me that when Pop Century opens that will be where they will house the majority of the Pop Warner Groups and the college Cheering Squads as well as all the other All Stars.

I have been to WDW 2 Decembers in row and I have to tell you, it can be hectic at certain resorts. At POR last December, I knew the groups would be there, so the CM's were great and put me and my son along with other families on the top floor of Magnolia terrace. It was just fine. But, I witnessed the kids skateboarding down the bannisters with a slippery when wet sign. I told them that they could break their necks and to not do that.

Where were the chaperones????? Wow, if that wasnt an accident waiting to happen. They could have hurt themselves and someone passing by.

I also was at ASMu two yrs ago and it was bedlam. I felt like I was in Jr HS. I love kids,,but it can be overwhelming, especially when I want to be on vacation and have some quiet time.

Best to ask ahead of time, and let the CM know at check in you would like to be away from the groups..They will try to do their best to accomodate you. Im sure you will not find them at the deluxe resorts, Mainly, all stars and some mods.

I'm surprised to hear that they aren't coming until December and later. The stores were full of cheerleading merchandise - bobbleheads, shirts, magnets, etc.
