about character ettiquette: mickey doesn't like hugs?

I was JUST there two weeks ago with my ex (I know that sounds weird but we still do some family trips) but anyway we went to a character breakfast and they all hugged him. And while he is not huge he is 6 foot average build.

And he never had problems in the past either. ???

I don't know about adults, but I know they won't hold your baby for a photo. I tried last year to get a photo of Chip and my 1 year old. Since she was a bit scared to stand next to him I tried handing her to him and he waved his finger and shook his head as if to say "no".
