? about BoG Lunch for an 11 yr old

I know that my 11 yr old daughter will be charged as a Disney adult if I took her to any table service character meal/buffet. If I were to take her to BoG at lunchtime and it being quick service meal at that time, can she order off the kids’ menu (FWIW, she very much has a kid palate and appetite so the adult entrees would be a hard pass for her). I know I can order kids’ meals from most counter service options, but with her name/age tied to the BoG reservation on MDE, I was wanting to ask if she will be recognized as an “adult” and charged accordingly. I can see BoG telling an adult no if they wanted to order a BoG kids’ meal, but what about an 11 yo who will also be dining with us and two younger sisters?

Yes, at breakfast and lunch you can order what ever you want just like other counter services.

Adults can order kids meals.

Will this change later, no one knows but for now you are good.

In all my trips for many many many many years, my kids have always been able to order from the kids menu, even though they were considered adults on the dining plan. In many cases, they were asked if they wanted a larger portion (in some cases, they were just given a larger portion) One thing I regret most about a Disney trip is one time we were at the Plaza for lunch and my daughter, 11, ordered the PB & J from the kids menu and I didnt take a picture. The waitress said she would make it a little bigger. We told her that was not necessary, as my daughter never eats much, but when the sandwich came, I almost fell over. It was like the king of all club sandwiches. They used 4 slices of thick texas (toast) bread and put a ton of PB and J in between each one. My daughter took 2 bites. Im sure she would have finished a normal sandwich, but this was too much. A+ for effort though!
