? about Beaches and Cream

Is it possible to go to Beaches and Cream after a 9:00 PM showing of Fantasmic?
Thursday May 25th is my friend's son's 11th birthday. He wants to go to Beaches and Cream for the Kitchen Sink after Fantasmic. Is Beaches and Cream open that late? How long is the wait at that time of night? How long of a walk is it from MGM to Beaches and Cream?

I think they are open until 11pm.We were there at 9:30pm in January and it was packed. I took an hour to get seated. I left with the baby at 10:30, I just didn't want to wait any longer and they said they got seated shortly after that. It takes us about 10min or more to walk from MGM to BW, so I quess it should be like 20mins from MGM to BC. It really isn't that far of a walk.

I agree that walking from the Studios to the Beach Club takes about 20-25 mintues. The boat is about the same time but it would be quite a crowd trying to get on the boat after Fantasmic.
I have read numerous tips on the DIS about not trying to eat at Beaches 'N Cream after Illuminations or Fantasmic as it gets way too crowded. The advice given is always to get there at an off time like 2pm or so.

I was surprised by how small B&C is. I'd read so many rave reviews here in the DIS that we decided to go for ice cream one evening when my mother and niece were visiting us for the weekend. It was packed and none of us wanted to wait. I think they should remove the arcade next door and expand it, as it seems to be very popular all the time.

Thanks for your responses. I thought it would be very crowded after Fantasmic. I wasn't sure how late it was open. He really wants to go on his birthday but it doesn't fit into the afternoon plans. I guess we will have to play it by ear and see how long the wait is.
