? about banking points

I have a quick question... how long can you bank points for? Example I use my all 100 of my 2009 and 66 of my 2010 points. I could bank the rest of the points and use them for my travel in 2012 or do they have to be used by the end of 2011?

Thank you in advance. I have not passed ROFR yet, but am planning on how to use those points for next April.

Hi

You can only bank your points once. So your 34 points from 2010 could be bank into 2011. Depending on your UY the points could be used in some of 2012.

Thank you. That is what I thought. My UY is April so I would not be able to use them for my 2012 trip so I will use them up for our trip next April

Of course I still need to be an official owner first

When is your trip in 2012?

If its Jan, Feb, or Mar, that is your 2011 UY.
If its later then use them in 2010.

For your April Use Year :

If you use 66 points from your 2010 UY allotment you can bank the remaining 34 points from 2010 UY allotment into your 2011 Use Year which would then make those remaining 34 points available to use from 4/1/2011 - 3/31/2012 (you would need to bank no later than Nov 30 2010 for these 2010 UY pts to be banked to 2011 UY). You can then use these banked points along with your regular 2011 UY allotment of points & if you wish, you may borrow from your 2012 UY allotment for a trip that will occur during the 2011 UY(which is 4/1/2011 - 3/31/2012)
