? about arriving earlier than ADR...

We have ADR for 7:55 pm at CM, I would like to eat earlier and was thinking of going in earlier to try and get seated, anyone try this and have any luck? It would be on a Sat evening and I would rather eat around 6. TIA, Patty

They usually dont have a problem if you show up 15 minutes (or so) early but much earlier than that they will most likely tell you come back.

We were only seated early once, and it was only by 5 minutes or so.

You can try, particularly if you get there at opening, but Chef Mickey's is busy, so don't be surprised if they tell you to come back or tell you that you will have to wait, possibly until your ADR time (and 2 hours is a long time to wait).

I probably won't try it myself just because I would have to make a special trip to CM and won't want to have to leave and come back if I couldn't get in. If it was a Restaurant in a park where it is easy to continue on touring if no, I would probably try it.

Some people have reported being seated early, but they were going to non-character restaurants in slower seasons.

Only time we really tried to be seated early was lunch at Sci-fi and it was about 30-45 minutes early (it was four years ago and I don't remember exactly how early we were - early for our ADR, but not enough time to really do another ride and get there on time) and we were not seated until our ADR time.

It totally depends on the time of year, restaurant, crowds, etc.

You can try to show up early, just understand they may tell you to come back later.

I dont know if I would try it and go out of your way to get to the rest.
We tried it 2 years ago at SciFi and had to still wait until our original
reserv. time.

We came at least 60 min early to the CG so we could have a drink at the bar no problem
