Hi All!

I don't see much posted on this board about Aquatica, so if you know where I can get more info, I'd appreciate it! I have been reading reports on Trip Advisor and they have been very informative.

Here's my question...many people mention how hot the pavement is at Aquatica. Can we wear our water shoes on most attractions? Specifically, what can we NOT wear the water shoes on? (I would guess the Dolphin Plunge since riders are tube-less, and dragging the shoes along the slide would not be good.)

Anyone know? Also...we have planned our Aquatica day for our the day we arrive in Orlando which happens to be a Saturday in late July. We probably won't arrive til 11am. Are we going to be overwhelmed with the crowds by that time?

Thanks for your knowledge!

Kerri

I can't really remember what rides that you can wear shoes on but the day we were there the chlorine was very high. It bleached out and ruined all our swimsuits. You might want to wear on old suit.

We wore water shoes for everything. I was the only one who went on the dolphin slide and I think I took them off and put them on my hands but I am not sure. They do have misters and bubblers along the ground to cool off the pavement but the water shoes were great for us since there are patches that aren't cooled and the pavement is not totally smooth so your feet can get really torn up. We all have the "water sock" type shoes and they worked great.
