So, we got all of our dining ressies like good lil DIS'ers.:thumbsup2 Now my mom wants to come down for 5 of the 9 days we are there!!! YIKES!!!

NOW WHAT?:confused3

I tried to change the reservations, got her added to only ONE!

The orig. Reservations are 2 adults 1 child 1 infant (maddie is 2 and in a high chair).

PLEASE HELP!!! Any suggestions will be appreciated! TYIA :worship:

you could always just show up and hope they can accomodate you? That is probably frowned upon though but usually they are accommodating. Other wise Try try try everyday :)

keep trying. You can try and show up with an extra person. Most other times of year they are very accomodating.Free dining is a different Beast.During free dining restaurant resources are already stretched beyond limits. The Cm at the podium, may make you wait for the next available table for your party size ( which can be a long wait) or they may tell you "NO". It deoends on many factors.Popularity of the restaurant, and how many no shows or cancellations they have.It is entirely up to the discretion ofthe podium cm and the restaurant mgr.I have seen during my free dining trips.People made to wait an extra 5 mins, up to 40 mins for a table and i have seen people flat out turned away.

it should be a table of four anyway so it should accomodate 4 and a high chair. I probably wouldnt' call and just act dumb when I got there.;)

I don't think you can count on just showing up. We asked this of a Cast Member on one of our frequent calls to WDW dining. We had a similar situation occur since we have expanded our vaction to include our stepson and his family. We tried to get a Mama Melrose's reservation for one evening in September. We had originally booked for 6 and wanted to change to 7. They said it was a no-go and that the restaurant ws completely booked for that evening and that no changes were possible. We eventually changed this for a lunch on another day that we are visiting MGM. This has been the first time we have been able to go during free dining and, while the value has allowed us to stay at a much nicer hotel than we are usually able to afford (we are staying at the BC Villas in a two bedroom instead of 3 rooms at a moderate), I am a little apprehensive about the restaurants being so full that it takes too much time sitting in a restaurant waiting for a table that we don't enjoy the parks. I guess we will find out in September!

1) You are booked for a table-for-4.
2) Adding a fifth can be a problem.
3) Sometimes they can accomodate, other times they say no way.
4) It could be awful embarrassing to have her turned away.

NOTE: The infant is still a "seat", thus the ressie is for four people. They count "places" not ages of diners. Sticking a fifth person can intrude into an aisle and make serving difficult or crowd another table.
