Hello everyone! We will be at WDW in Feb and are on the DxDP. A few of the places that we are dining at I am sure my 11yo DS will not care for what is on the adult menu. My question is if he likes an adult appetizer and dessert can he get those but order a childs entree? Any help would be wonderful! Thanks in advance

Yes, he can. My DD did the same thing at a few of the restaurants with no problems. Most of the waitresses are really nice about it, and did try to explain that it might not be the best value, but rather than her not enjoy her meal, I'd rather her eat something than nothing at all.

I don't think this is going to work at ALL restaurants. Have seen at least one report that the Plaza restaurant would not allow it.

I think the server may try to talk you out of it at some places. Servers will also offer to modify food for a child...remove sauces, etc.

You should know that depending on how much your child eats, WDW TS kids meals are very small...much smaller than chain restaurants like TGI Fridays for example.

In our experience, they are also very bland. The grilled chicken strips for example have no seasoning whatsoever and are pretty dry. I tasted them because I thought my DD was being picky (which I hate) and I wanted spit it out in my napkin! I didn't of course. ;)

Honestly, I would try and find an adult entree and alter it to your childs taste before I'd order one of those tiny kids meals.
