Abnormal mammogram and abnormal Pap smear with atypical glandular cells

So went today to have bilateral ultrasound of my breasts and after that waited for them to come tell me results. Thankfully everything is fine. I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't as I was by myself. So thankful. Now I can go on vacation without worrying about this at least. When we get back will set up appt for the other ultrasound.

LOL that is understandable. Didn't you have a baby?? I have so much health wise going on with me if I have cancer I guess I will just add it to the long list. I am pretty confused about this next test cause the dr said to get it done 2-3 days after end of period but the Womans ultrasound place never heard of that so not sure what to do. I go back to my dr in couple weeks so will verify it again with them. Not thrilled about them sticking a ultrasound up my hooha lol

I had transvaginal ultrasounds too (aren't I lucky?!?!) when I was pregnant with my DD. My doctor thought that my cervix might open due to the surgeries on my cervix. Since it was medically necessary I just gritted my teeth through it.

I had transvaginal ultrasounds too (aren't I lucky?!?!) when I was pregnant with my DD. My doctor thought that my cervix might open due to the surgeries on my cervix. Since it was medically necessary I just gritted my teeth through it.

I do not look forward to this transvaginal. I don't know why but I don't like people really looking up there hahaha. It is private lol But I know it needs to be done. Just trying to figure out the how and when due to conflicting orders lol.

Yep, had our son on 10/29. No more after this...LOL...Factory has been closed. I have had that type of U/S before...it is NOT pleasant. Hopefully you get answers. Doctors sometimes can be annoying. You would think they would send the proper orders to the Womans center

Congrats to you guys!
That would be too easy to send the orders to the womans center haha. I guess they don't cause my dr is in another city and womans center is here in town. Ah well it will all get worked out. Gonna make sure hubby is with me this time. When I went and had breast ultrasound I went alone and they told me results afterwards. Thankfully all was clear but I wonder what I would have done if it wasn't. Don't think that is news you should get alone

I've had a couple of those ultrasounds due to fibroids and it wasn't that bad. They asked me to "insert", it was more comfortable that way. I did not get the results right there, it was sent to my doctor.

Well happy to report no cancer. They did find tumor in uterus but they said it was benign. Guess it is something we will have to keep eye on. So extremely thankful that there was no cancer. Have enough medical issues that adding that to mix would not have been good. Just wanted to update! Thanks guys

Good news for you!! I have had several abnormal paps with atypical cells, but my gyn says that happens a lot after menopause, which I am. I have had LEEP procedures, ultrasounds, Colposcopy, (with no issues) and the paps keep coming back reading the same way. The LEEP & the Colposcopy were 'not' pleasant - ultrasound no biggie. Now, she just has me use a hormone (estrogen) cream 10 days before which makes the tests normal.

"Not" pleasant is the world's biggest understatement for LEEP and colposcopy. I swear, if men had to have these procedures done to them, they'd use general anesthesia! Anyhow, OP, glad to hear it all worked out well!!

Actually, I 'do' agree 100% - was just toning it down a bit for anyone maybe having to have one! I also had a bleeding and pain issue which caused problems. Also told my gyn the next (please no!!) one would have to be done with more anesthesia than local (that barely helped).
