ABDs from Aulani

My Aulani brochure indicates that there are some excursions available with ABD on Oahu, however, the brochure, nor the websites, go into any detail. Do any of you experienced ABDers have any insight about what is offered?

On the left side of the Aulani home page, where it says book rooms or packages, there is an excursions link. Click on that link then click on Reserve an excursion online. It shows a page that says you are leaving the Aulani.com. Click the Proceed button. The next page shows the excursions. Scroll to the bottom and there are links for all the ABD excursions. If you click on each excursion you can see the details and the prices. There used to be more, now there are only 4 excursions listed. The surf school and snorkeling excursion aren't on the website any longer. When we were there last October, I just booked my own excursions. When I compared booking the snorkeling with ABD, for example, versus just booking the same tour with the same company there was a high premium for going with ABD and it wasn't worth it to me.

hmmm....I can see a long description, maps and prices. And I can enter the dates and times to check availability and book them, if I wanted.

I tried it again, from both my phone & laptop, and nada.

What browser are you using? I followed Bobo912's instructions and got the same results as you.

That was in Firefox. I cut & pasted the URL from that page, and pasted it into IE, and bang! All sorts of options! Looks like a browser incompatibility, or possibly an add-on issue.

I use IE on my laptop, idk what is on my phone. Success with the link!! Thank you. Will look at prices when I return home.

Rats!! None of the ABDs work for us. The one I was most interested, Waimea Falls & North Shore Excursion, is only on Fridays, and, we arrive on Friday, so it wouldn't work for us. The other I had an interest in, has a minimum age of 8, and my son won't be 8 until August. Bummer, was hoping to get my feet wet with ABD.

Just be aware, Aulani frequently cancels the ABD excursions at the last minute because they don't get enough people signing up. We were booked for one last year and they canceled it less than 24 hours in advance due to "lack of interest." Very frustrating because we were really looking forward to it, and with so little notice, it was hard to put together an alternate plan. They had nothing similar to offer us. I've heard from lots of other people who had the same experience.

Apparently they are having a hard time selling the ABD excursions, probably because of the high price. I wouldn't be surprised if they are eventually discontinued.

I'm pretty sure that's the same reason they don't do actual ABD's in Hawaii any more. They really can't justify the cost, as it is *SO* easy to set up the same excursions yourself in Hawaii. There really isn't the value for the price.
