ABD Lights...Camera...Magic day tour

Sorry for the thread hijacking, but did they tell you how far out this can be booked? I was toying with booking it myself for my October trip, but I thought I am way too early if I call now.

I didn't ask, but I bet you could book now. ABD is not DLR. People book ABD way out. :goodvibes

Looks great! I think I want to save up for one of the disboards ABD Disneyland trips. They sound amazing, so my guess is the tour is great. I think they reviewed it once in the podcast.

Thank you. I guess for some reason I was thinking it's Disneyland reservation periods there.

I agree with limace, now that I read this there was a review somewhere. May have really been the podcast.

Sorry OP I can't speak for the ABD tour but I have been lucky enough to go to the Walt Disney studios and eat in the commisary and I can say that that is definitely worth it! Its amazing to see such a legendary Disney working studio, especially as its not open to the public. Have a great trip! :goodvibes
PS there are some photos of the studios in my last TR!

Oh me too! When ABD does a podcast tour, they really go all out and do special things. This one day tour is a lot cheaper however and I've been thinking about doing it too. But, I'm not sure I want to give up a DLR day to do it. It might take me all five days just to get in to Carsland this summer! :rotfl: I'd love to hear reports back from people who have done this one.

googling the tour, searching for reviews. Found the flyer with the updated itinerary - http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/DLR/DLRABD_Flyer.pdf

*INCLUDES: luxury coach transportation; water and snacks throughout the day; appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages at the evening reception for all Guests;one alcoholic beverage at the evening reception for Guests ages 21 and up only; special treats and surprise gifts throughout the day.

As if the tour wasn't excting enough - there are special treats and surprise gifts throughout the day!!! So excited for this!

This really sounds great and if I hadn't done the whole 7 day ABD Backstage Magic trip would jump on this..this is fairly close to some of the things we did on ABD, but that was a whole week and pretty pricey, so yes, folks, JUMP on this..you will love it.

I would LOVE to be able to do the ABD Backstage Magic tour, but doubt I ever will be able to. So like you said, I JUMPED on this tour!!! :cool1:

It sounds like transportation to a place to drop you off for you to look around on your own, then move to the next spot, continue, until a nice reception in the evening. To me this doesn't seem worth giving up a day at DLR, so what am I missing, and what happens at the stops?

Too me it would be worth every nickle to be able to go back to the Burbank studio's where I spent many hours when I was younger.

I recently read a trip report on this tour that was posted on another Disney paid membership site. It sounded and looked (from the pictures posted) amazing, so I would definitely put it on your list of to do's if you can swing it.

The gal who wrote the trip report had nothing but praise for it.

Could you PM me the name of that Disney site? Thank you!

Just sent you a message... let me know if you don't get it... the site has been a little testy lately. :goodvibes

This looks awesome. May need to do this sometime this year. Would appreciate any information as well !
