ABD Backstage Magic trip with oxygen & scooter

I just returned from the Feb Backstage Magic ABD trip. I am on oxygen 7/24, have a continuous IV for meds, and I use an ECV. Between Kevin from Dreams Unlimited, the tour guides from Adventures by Disney and a very helpful bus driver from ABD I had an incredible time. They were all very helpful and made sure that I had as magical a time as all the other travelers on our trip.

I strongly recommend if you are considering this trip but are worried you cannot do it due to your disabilities that you reconsider. Express your concerns to Dreams Unlimited or ABD and see what they can work out. This experience was a once in a lifetime that I will never forget.

Dreams Unlimited lived up to there name for me.

The trip was incredible.

The highlight for me was going to Walt's Appt. There are steps up to the apartment which I could not climb. There is no elevator. ABD arranged to have a lift so that I could go into the apartment. Although the lift was kindof like a constuction lift they made sure their were plenty of Disney personnel around to help me. I really was trreated as a VIP!

There were other wonderful moments like eating at Club 33 and have a private ride on Soaring and going to Disney Imagineering. BUT the best memory I left with were the people I met on the trip. Everyone was so wonderful and caring. I know I will have friends for life.

If you ever get the chance to go on this trip I strongly recommend it.
