Hi adventurers! I have been following the boards, but not able to participate! The day of the last chat, I came down with tonsillitis and a sinus infection. Now I'm at a work conference in Connecticut. I thought this trip was going to be special before, but now it has become even more special! I can't wait to be home to pack (and see Jeff from NYC!) and see you all in California!

I'm going to start packing this weekend too. Weekdays are too hectic to feel like I'm getting anything useful done! So much to do and plan and we're getting so close to departure.

I think everyone should do me a huge favor and post pictures of themselves so I can start getting used to your names now. On the last trip, it took me all week to remember everyones name, then it was time to leave I'm so bad with names, it's scary.

Not quite. I was referred to a specialist...so more to come. I'm supposed to be hearing from the doctor about scheduling a consultation. I'm feeling a lot better though. I'm definitely not going to let it interfere with the trip!

Today I got a check in the mail from Dreams Unlimited - what a surprise!

The note in the memo field appears to say "in lieu of Amex GC" - was there an Amex gift card promotion as part of this trip? I'm clueless! Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the check - it's going right into my Mickey's of Glendale account!

Today I got a check in the mail from Dreams Unlimited - what a surprise!

Each reservation was eligible for a $50 Amex gift card with this Adventure.

This was due to the price difference between the two Adventures.

In lieu of the gift card, each reservation was sent a check from Dreams Unlimited Travel. Amex gift cards are good most places...cash is good everywhere.

If you are sharing a room with someone, each of you was sent a check for half of the amount.

This money is to be used for my post Adventure gift.

Okay...that's not true.

The check was a nice surprise - definitely accepted everywhere, and sometimes the AMEX GCs aren't. a little more for the MoG fund...or Club 33...

Chat was so much fun tonight! Can't wait til our last one and the trip to follow. We're getting so close to time to go.

Thank you all for your kind words! I'm feeling much better; Christy I hope you get a clean bill of health from your doctor, too! I just came home and saw that lovely surprise from Dreams Unlimited! That was awesome!

I'm going to try posting a picture of us. It's also time for laundry and packing. Isn't it funny how you actually look forward to doing laundry if it's clothes you're planning on taking to Disneyland?

I started packing today!! I still can't believe we only have one week to go before we are on our adventure! Time to and break out the packing checklist!

Now I am getting nervous!!! LOL I don't want to over pack but I think I will need to change clothes for the evenings. I am just a t-shirt kind of 'girl' but I am thinking fresh clothes will be necessary after being out in the sunshine all day.

Fresh clothes will definitely feel good, but keep in mind you will likely find some shirts you can't leave without at the incomparable Mickey's of Glendale!! that you will want to wear, too. They had some nice looking polos and t-shirts that I really enjoyed. Also, a number of people wore the Dis Unplugged shirts too. Finally, we got a kick out of looking at everyone's Disney clothes - a couple of the guys had unique t-shirts from different parks.

I am very excited for you all - what a wonderful time you are going to have!
