ABD 2025 Who is going on a trip?

I was looking to do an ABD with ds next year since I have several $000 in Disney GCs that are losing value every year. But I couldn't find one that interested me at the right price. Then I came across the Disney cruise from Honolulu to Sydney and ds said it was his "dream cruise" (not mine -- I may go out of my mind on the sea days). He had a tough year in 2023 (lost his dad last November). So I'm taking him to Japan in January / February and we are doing the cruise in October (I got a 1 bedroom suite because I'm gonna need some separation from him for 15 days).
I hope you two have a couple of fabulous trips!

@sayhello I have several volunteer colleagues that have done trips with Wild Woman Expeditions and they rave about the experience. The prices are quite low for what you get and you can pay a supplement for your own room. I am going to book a Morocco trip with them in November, 2024 or early 2025.
Thanks! I'll take a look at them.

That cruise is AMAZING! We did the Sydney to Honolulu this past February. You will absolutely love it!

We are (finally) going to Japan in July. I’m really excited about the trip, except when I travel on my own and see huge tour groups moving slowly and in crowds I think “ugh - that looks awful.” So I really hope that AbD is for me/us, because for 5 people plus air it is a huge expense. Taking his family to Japan is also a big deal for my husband, and I don’t want him to be disappointed.

I've heard from some that transoceanic cruises can come with a LOT of motion sickness. I assume that wasn't the case with yours?
There were two days that had some motion but not bad at all. Most of the time it was extremely smooth. Our daughter tends to get seasick easily but the motion was not even enough for her to want to take any medicine. There were so many special activities on the Sea Days which was our favorite part. :)

Looking into August 2025 Peru departure! This will be my first ABD, any recommendations are welcomed :)
Peru was in the top three of my favorite ABD trips. I loved it so much I went back to Peru the following year to explore more on my own, enjoy!

My ds is most excited about the sea days! I hope they have trivia at least once. I get to book Palo at 120 days (I think) and plan on booking a brunch and dinner. We can also order room service from Palo, which might be nice (I'm not a huge fan of room service in general, but we shall see).
