ABD 2010: Disers Go West - Let the Fun Begin

Sorry you are not able to access it. I tried to be creative and take a shot of our 2.3 seconds of fame. :happytv: This is as big as I can get it with any clarity and unfortunately not everyone is visible due to clapping hands. But at least this gives a glimpse of what the world saw of the ABD DISers. :thumbsup2

Thank you Bill for going the extra mile so I could see! You are a wonderful friend!! :thumbsup2

Heather great photos!!:cool1::thumbsup2

Kevin and John welcome home! :)

Hey folks,

I'm just finishing up editing my Asia pics, so now I can start on the ABD pics and get some posted up to Flickr.

In the meantime, just wanted to say thanks for such a wonderful and fun trip! The highlights for me were probably Imagineering (I'm going to have nightmares about that Joe Cocker animatronic.), Club 33, all the backstage time at Disneyland and DCA (but especially the reverse-view of Soarin'), and riding the rails at Carolwood. And of course, getting to meet and spend time with all of the fellow DISers was great fun too! Finally, tremendous thanks to our guides Michael and Jamie (and Joey) who I'm sure felt at times like they were herding cats, but who showed remarkable patience and kindness.

I can't wait for ABD 2.0, and I look forward to seeing y'all soon on Podcast Cruise 2.0!

We're getting ready to leave our SF hotel for the airport as it's time to go home.

And it is time. I miss the dogs. I miss Mom. I miss our house.

It's been a glorious 12 days and we needed it.

Our trip was capped off by a trip to the Disney Museum with Don (SFBAYDON), Michael (Merry Mouseketeer) and Carol (Disney Enabler).

Truly an amazing experience.

If you consider yourself a Disney fan... you owe it to yourself to visit. it's a different perspective.

Off to breakfast, return the car and then the airport.

See y'all soon.

Welcome home, Kevin and John!!! We missed you!

Looking forward to your pictures. Would love to see the ones of asia too. Will you be posting them online?

As you probably guessed - I have a few pictures to share and will be loading them to Flickr soon. Unfortunately, on the way home from the airport last night I had a car accident and my computer was damaged (wah!), along with my Kindle (horror!). It will take a couple of days to sort out and try and edit the pictures, but I will send an email to Kevin with access info for those interested.

Hope you are all well, and I will contact you soon!

Just got the link and was amazed by the pictures. THANKS for sharing :yay: (including the picture of the car )

I got the link too but can't see any photos?:confused3

I'm a bit of a computer idiot though.

Thanks for the link, and the great photos, Lynne! I know what time and thought you put into getting all those great candids. I'll be adding my photos as soon as I can.

I was finally able to see your photos Lynne, great job. I try but my photos just don't come out quite so nice. Great candid shots.

WOW! Great pictures Lynne! Do you have a photography background as the pictures seem to be framed like a pro? Thank you for sharing them with us and I have a feeling a few of them may be "borrowed" for trip reports. :thumbsup2

FYI - I'm up through Friday 4/16 in my trip report (link in my signature). If any of you aren't interested in doing a whole trip report, but have some things to say or some pictures to share, feel free to do so there.

It's been years since I did a trip report. It's actually quite an undertaking. After seeing Lynne's pictures, I know whose I'll be using for some of my scrapbook pages, and they won't be mine! :) I can't wait to see Heather's and Lauren's pictures too! I'll gladly steal from anybody!

I was going to attempt a trip report - but I thought better of it. So many others will do a much better job than I

I will be procurring a few of Lynne's pics for my scrapbook as well. she did such a remarkable job.
I can only imagine what Heather & Lauren will have.

i figure, I have 7 1/2 months until the Podcast Cruise to hone my photo taking skills
who knows - I might even have the scrapbook done by then :lmao:

Hey all -

Thanks for the great input - as you could probably tell, I am an amateur but love photography and really had a great time with the pictures. Candids are probably my favorite, so I tried to include as many as I could. I have almost all my pictures loaded (still have the latter half of 4/18 to go), but will be grouping them under an ABD set and moving into the ABD group too. It should be transparent to you...

Of course, you all are welcome to any pictures you would like. To save a picture, choose the picture and then look just above the picture for some small text, with a symbol that looks like a magnifying glass and the text "ALL SIZES". From here you can download at whatever compression size you need.

I did receive some awesome news this weekend - well, two pieces of news. First, my insurance company is offering a generous settlement on my car - wooohooo! and second, MY CAMERA AND LENSES ARE OK!:cool1: So already this week is working out pretty well.

Hope you all are well - I am thinking of you often!

All the best, Lynne

Lynne, happy to hear the good news about the insurance settlement and especially about your camera. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your pictures. They really superb

:rolleyes1 You're ahead of me. I am just starting the ABD trip portion of my Trip Report. It is fun to relive a trip through a Trip Report. I have enjoyed reading yours. Great job! :thumbsup2

If interested, I have a link in my signature to my Trip Report for this trip. Any input and comments are greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

Lynne,

Glad to hear the insurance claim went well.

I am loving your pictures. I was looking over Bill's shoulder yesterday as he was looking at them on flickr. You do an amazing job capturing candid shots! Bill thought you were a pro. I can't wait to see the rest. Thank you for putting them out there for all to see. :flower3:
