ABD 2010: Disers Go West - Let the Fun Begin

I'm at the airport in Anaheim, taking my first reluctant steps back into regular life. Any special trip is hard to return from, and this trip was more special than others, thanks to everyone involved. My friends who joined us one evening had a blast and caught the feeling of the trip from even that brief exposure.
Miss you all and look forward to sharing pictures. Lynne is going to get a link to us through Kevin for a site we can all post to so all the photos people want to share can be in the same place.

I would like to put together a contact list for the group, for those of you who would like to participate. More on that in the next few days.

Heather

Have a safe trip Heather!

Hey! I took that picture of you guys in front of Big Thunder Mountain (our favorite ride)! I mean, you set it up, focused it, told me where to stand, and how to the push the button, but I TOOK it! :rotfl:

Loving your scrapbook pages Lauren. Are they electronic? What do you use? (I use Creative Memories Storybook Creator, but I'm not ready to even think about starting until I see the "good" pictures that others are willing to share!)

Have a safe trip home Heather! See you in December.

You booked the Podcast Cruise before you left? RIGHT????

I don't think I'm going to be able to go to the Podcast Cruise...it's going to be too busy to take off of work during that time:mad:

I'm probably going to try to go somewhere this fall, either to WDW for Food & Wine or maybe back out to Disneyland.

Also excited to see what ABD trips will be offered next year, I definitely plan on doing one!

Hi ALL !

WOW - You guys have already been so busy on the boards, you're all so FANTASTIC at this !:cool1::worship:

We can't believe that it's over ! The trip was an awesome experience but the best part was meeting all of you! We have so many new friends now!. :lovestruc

Today we received a Post Card from "Sir" Jamie and "Sir" Michael "The greatest tour guides ever" ! That was very nice of them to send them out!

John and I got home started some laundry and had to run out to Long Island as John's mom is in the hospital, she fell on Saturday night and they could not operate until her heart rate got back to normal. She is in surgery now (3rd hour of the 6 hour surgery to repair her femur and hip) Please say a prayer for her- this surgery is going to be tough!

Warm Regards
Micki and John

You've done shopping, banking, laundry, et al AND scrapbooking???

We've just finished unpacking.

How many of you are there?

I was going to ask the same thing. My God woman, you are incredible! I just finally unpacked the last of the luggage and I am exhausted ... Again
of course the best part of today was picking up the dogs and cats from "camp". The house seemed so empty last night without them.

As others have so eloquently said, I just want to also say that Dino and I had so much fun meeting you all and sharing this adventure with 42 of my new friends.
This trip was so awesome on so many different levels, I can't pick just one moment as the best. Every day and every memory and each of you will be with me forever.

There's just the two of us plus the cat, so that helps. Plus apparently I've decided to stay up until 2:00 every night and get up at 8:00 in the morning. Who know how long that'll keep up, but I figured I might as well be doing something with my time. :goodvibes

You know I'm on the photo list. I uploaded to Shutterfly today. It took over eight hours. But at least I know they are safe and sound in case of emergancy!

Dodie: You totally get all the credit! Now if I could only remember what day we rode the ride on, that would be helpful, but I notice my note keeping fell apart after we got to DL. Gee, wonder why! Probably cause I was face down in the bed asleep. :rotfl:

All our hope and prayers for your family! :grouphug:

Dodie: Sorry I missed this part out. I do digi scrapping with Photoshop Elements 5 and I use mostly Disney themed kits and templates just to make it easier and faster. I also pre scrapped some pages like for the daily journaling, even though all that writing still took forever!

John: Looks like you've been busy. I actually thought about doing the same thing, but I don't think my Photoshop skills are up for it.

still adjusting to not having Mickey waffles in the morning...:guilty:

Jason - oh no!!! Understand that life gets in the way but we'll miss you on the ship :goodvibes

Dave, you're the only one brave enough to post your post-ABD weight gain :lmao:

Mikie & John, hope all is well. :grouphug:

Unpacking is like re-living the trip...seeing all the bits and pieces of where we were

cheers,
:flower3:

Is anyone else from the East Coast having trouble adjusting to the change in time? I've had a rough two days getting by body back to EST.

We still have 5 months to guilt you into it!

Just kidding!

I know all to well how work intrudes on real life. If you do decide to head to F&W, let me know. I may burn some DVC points and do a quick weekend trip for F&W.

Totally!! I'm always tired. The time change and jet lag is killing us.

We are not quite 3 hours difference (Central time zone) but I am still dragging a bit even after a few days. It has been nice to sleep in a bit though and not get up until 6:30am. ;)
