if we are being walked into the park at 745am on Friday, and the parking doesn't open until 730am to park....how is this going to work? How are we going to pay for parking, get into the structure, park, catch the tram and get to the front gate in less than 15 minutes? Is there something I am missing here? Tom, any ideas?:confused3 Anyone???

But the real question is....

Did John do the "Single Ladies" dance yet?

Good luck with that. :lmao:

I'm sure glad I'm walking from my hotel. :rotfl:

nice....;)

maybe we will park and walk from downtown disney and then move the car later...ideas? Do you know what time downtown disney opens their parking?

We had the same question, and decided we'll park at the DTD lot. Last week, we asked the attendant when that lots opens, and he said you can park there "anytime" so I'm assuming we can park there around 7:15-ish and get to the DL entrance in time. If we go over the 3 hours and have to pay, then so be it. Our PAP includes parking, so one of us can always move the car to M&F after breakfast. Cross fingers, but it seems like it should work OK.

thanks, this is how it's got to be. Don't think we have any other choice....715 then at DTD parking lot! We are coming from Newport Coast. What time should we leave for DL?

More pics coming, but gotta move!
A group of us have Jimmy Kimmel Live! tickets and have to be there at 5:30. :cool1:
Later!

Oooh, you could hit some bad morning rush hour traffic coming from Newport Beach. The 55 and 5 freeways can be congested. If you're coming that way, it would not be unreasonable to give yourself 45-60 minutes. With no traffic, that is about a 20-25 minute drive, so you may luck out and get to DL too early, but better early than late for this fun event. Just my 2 cents...

Jeri and I are going to In n out early so we can catch Alice at the El Cap at 7:00. Just thought I would post in case anyone else wanted to do the same!

Thanks to those posting updates and pics - fun to read and see what is going on!! :goodvibes

I agree, you should give yourself an hour just to be safe.

mens shirts, a robe, a jacket, lapel pins, a leather tote, Christmas ornament, ears, Christmas pin, fance rings (but for memebers only) a pocket watch, shot glass, coffee mug, note cards, scarf, a hat, plus some stuff I can't remember.....

Our first group picture. On the steps to the Kodak Theater - imagine the red carpet, with out all of the people there.

We first went the the Disney Fountain and then on to the El Captain. Here we are back stage learning about the building

IMG_0737.JPG

There is a camera looking at the stage, so the people back stage can see what going on. Our group... a bit fuzzy

Next on the the set of Jimmy Kimmel, no cameras but really cool.

Jim Henson Studios and another group photo. You really need to see our ABD guilds taking photos of the group. We all place our camera on the ground, and they pick up each one, sometime two at a time, and take our photos. We need to smile for about 5 mins to get a shot on everyone's camera.

Final stop of the day was to the Carolwood Pacific Railroad (Walts Barn). A great history lesson, cool train ride and a small shop to help support the project. Look it up on the Internet, a great location.
