Congrats! You all made it!

I can't wait to hear about all the fun things you guys are going to do.

Have a wonderful day, and I pray that there will be unexpected events that make the day even better! :thumbsup2

How was Ellen ladies?

Do we know when (what hours) the ABD reps will be in the lobby? I was planning on doing some exploring out and about before dinner, and I don't want to miss them.

Someone else mentioned wanting to go to the Peterson Museum today. I don't remember who. We are meeting in the lobby at 10:00 to grab a cab there and hope to stop at the Farmers Market on the way back. Meet us if you like.

I'd never been to a tv taping before so it was pretty fun for me. Guests were Kirstie Alley, Cyndie Lauper & Matthew Morrison (from Glee).

It's fun to see how much of the guests' personalities comes thru. Kirstie seemed so frank and put herself out there with her dancing. Cyndie got huge cheers from the audience and she was so lovable - even her ditzy moments were sweet: she asks Ellen, "so how's that song show going?" Ellen, wide eyed, replies "oh American Idol??!". Crowd guffaws.

I'd never heard of Mmorrison before and came out like a dance off and was charming.

The show had lots of prompted cheering. We danced and cheered a lot. Anna is the biggest Ellen fan of all of this and I hope she still has her voice this morning (=

cheers,
:flower3:

A good friend of mine once told me that the Pacific Coast Highway was a "religious experience". Man was he right!

Due to the pace of the day, we thought we woud only go to San Luis Obispo and then turn around. Boy am I glad that we decided to push on or we would have missed this:

Each curve of the road brought a view better than the last one. Our goal now was sunset in Monterey.

We ran into these friends on the side of the PCH (elephant seals). We got within 5 feet of them...it was so cool.

We decided to have a nice romantic dinner on The Old Fishermans Wharf in Monterey. It was yummy. So this was around 9:30pm when we finished and we thought we would try to drive the 5 and a half hours back to LA. Well that didn't work as I couldn't stay awake so we found a nice hotel to crash in.

Pictures cannot do these views justice but hopefully they convey some of our "spiritual experience".

Pic were awesome. We've been throwing around a Cali trip and now I think "it's on like Donkey Kong!"

You all are posting some wonderful pictures!!

I landed a few minutes ago and gathered my bag - woohoo love it when the luggage arrives too! I am on my way to the hotel and hope to start meeting some of you soon!

Awesome pictures Taylors! :thumbsup2

Just met one of our guides in the lobby as he came in, Jamie.
I was on the phone to Karen (Klam) and as soon as I hung up I heard "John?".
I turn around and there he is.
I was puzzled how he recognized me at first.....hmmmmmm.....they have been lurking on the threads apparently and doing their homework. :surfweb:
The jig is up! We are "known". :lmao:

Oh, then ran into Kathy, Chris, Tracey, Lauren, and Jeri.
Met Lynn in Karen's room.
Saw Stan Lee of Marvel Comics fame in the lobby as well!
My first celeb sighting! :cool1:
No autograph though, too shy and he was heading out the door.
Off to get something to eat.

Smooth check into the Renaissance and our room was even ready before 10am - yippee! Just put down my bags when someone from the transport company called me trying to find my roomie Lynne. Well, after a comedy of errors and octopi moves (2 phone lines going simultaneously, while scanning my emails for a tidbit of info and having John (3guys...) be a homing pigeon for an ABD guide, Lynne showed up all by herself...LOL!

We've got a fab view of the pool, highland complex, roosevelt hotel sign and city skyline in the background. Met our one of our and guides, & Jason & Alissa

Stopped to give Pete a big hug - he was his usual gracious self then settled on uwink for lunch: good food, large portions and fun to order your food from terminals at your table. Concept restaurant by the atari inventor - you can play games on the terminals against others in the restaurant.

Headed out to ch

[sorry hassle of posting from an iPhone]
