My weekend was so nutty it looks like I read your update but didn't actually comment, arrgh!

I love the mai tai tip, though I'd worry it would leak as my lapu seemed to get drippy towards the end. I totally agree with Magdalene about the wasting of the pineapple but there is just something very fun about picking the darn thing up.

I am sorry to hear your aunt is in such bad condition. Prayers that this trip goes well and you can all have some special time together.

Ugh, my internet is acting up, and I just lost these two replies-

And likewise, I have read BOTH of your last updates, but this week have only had time (barely) to catch up on replies to my own thread. I AM reading, but will have to comment while I steal some moments on my trip. Just not sure how that's going to happen.

Anyway, I wonder if they carved out your fruit too thin? I can't imagine why it'd be drippy?

I couldn't have said it better myself, Marv. I'm with Rosie, this is my escape for a little while. I love coming here knowing that no matter our differences we all have one thing that brings us together....our love for Disney. Where in the world can you go with so many different views on life and still have everyone get along and care for one another like we do? And your right, it's like we've known each other for ever when we do meet. I had more fun visiting OR and hanging with that great group of gals, that will NOT be my last meet.

Speaking of Oregon, I guess Portland had quite the show today....so how was your bike ride this morning Liesa?!? Was it a bit "nippy?"

When I asked my dh (who is also a engineer) what SWAG is, he said Super Wild A** Guess.

Those engineers are all the same. Except mine doesn't have one coozie. But proabably only because he only drinks bottled beer or wine.

It's actually pretty amazing how many nerds are in this group!

No, no Glenn, Rosie is the pole dancer, Liesa is the flasher. And I thought you were one of the more astute one's on here.

I promise to be on my best behavior for the trip. But all bets are off as I pass through the TSA. You never know what they will ask me to do there!

And you never know what kind of perv will tell you about your pretty feet either. Things could get ugly....(or quite interesting as the case may be depending on one's point of view... )

Thanks, Camille- I'll be on and off here, mostly off, while gone. This trip really needs to focus on family first. So really not a vacation. I think you understand.

Actually I think he is right, other than maybe it starts with a "K" instead of a "C." Everyone gives poor Dan such a hard time about his spelling, I just didn't see any reason to pile on about it like everyone else seems to.......

Well, in all truth, that was more of a dig on my lack of coozie knowledge, more than anythying else. I've never even heard the word before, so was poking fun at that- with mild poke at the end.

Thank you! So I only look slightly like an ignoramous. At least in the coozie dept. But I have to ask: why do they give those out at a professional conference? I mean I can see those at like a outdoorsmen/ hunting/ fishing/ boating/ hunting show, but for engineers? I don't get that.

Anything in a can, not just beer. The ones I get are flat so I guess they are really easy to transport and cheap.

As for the coozies, it is something that companys know most people will put to use so they put their company logo on there and get essentially free advertising.......along with keeping their name "at the tips of your fingers" in hopes a potential customer will think of them first when needing to order something.

and they will most likely be used. You always need more when you have people over.

Hi Liesa, I'm back from Mexico and you are off on a trip to Cali w/Mommy.
Have a great time. Hope it is very memorable.
did some catching up though. Skimmed the banter. Wish i had time.
Torch lighting is cool. They start it with a fire dance. He was......easy on the eyes. The fire was so close to his body. We thought he actually touched. When he was done and lighting the torches we saw a spot on his chest start to Blister.... price of doing business with flame, i guess.

Lapu Lapu: me and sis. bought one each and sat on the swing outside on the beach 20 feet from our room. talked, and laughed. bought another and shared. laughed.

**Pardon the interruption while I try to pick the brains of some of Liesa's followers**

**The following is my latest post on my TR which I am going to shamelessly plug on some of the other TRs that I am following. My link is in my signature if you are not already following**

I want to try to do a guessing game similar to Liesa's Master Predicter game. I am not organized enough to do one like Marv's with questions that I would answer in the report because I don't write my reports ahead of time. When I find the time I ramble on until I either run out of things to say, or time to say it. I'm not as creative as the Captain to blend movie quotes into the report. And I don't take many pictures (and avoid having ones of me) so I couldn't do a search and find like took over Glenn's.

But I am having a hard time coming up with questions that don't just have yes and no answers. I do have a few written down, but would like to request some suggestions from you folks! I will post a final list sometime before I go, will take the list with me to make sure I keep track of what the answers are. And will reveal the answers when I get back. Maybe to book-end my hat a day count-down, I will do an answer a day after our return.
