Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hello. I am feeling MUCH better now! Turns out that I had really bad inflammation in my chest as a result of having the flu... so much so that I had asthma-like congestion, no air moving... doctor put my on steroids to bring down the inflammation and now a week later I am breathing much better and hardly coughing at all. He said it was so congested that he couldn't even tell if I had pneumonia, though he did hear it was "wet" in my lungs.... anyway... I'm on the mend now... thanks for the well wishes. I'm looking forward to next weekend when I will have a chance to get these cards done! Have a great week!

I'd ordered the Sizzlits Fish Bowl set specifically for this swap. It came not quite 2 weeks ago & today was really the first time I had to use it. Of course the first week I had it I took it out of the packaging & put it in the new Sizzlits case I'd also ordered.

This one with the coral & plants won't cut!! I used a brand new cutting pad. I tried with several sheets of paper as shims. It isn't even cutting through a single sheet of thin paper!!

And I don't mean it's just stuck in certain spots...there is literally NO separation of the paper! In places you can't even see a crease! I checked the die & the foam isn't even cut through all the way...after at least 6 or 7 tries! If I pull the foam apart you can see that it's still attached. Now what! Without the packaging I can't really return it!

Can you call customer service at the website you bought it from and ask them to replace just that die?

I finished my cards!

I ended up using a scissors to cut out the holes instead of the punch!

WHat do I do next? Should I mail them in to Joy or wait?

Try sizzix. They are usually pretty customer friendly.

I was kind of busy since I posted this on Thursday. The place from which I'd purchased it took a message but didn't return my call & I forgot until after they'd closed for the weekend. Since I didn't get it from Sizzix directly they weren't too excited about helping me. They want the place I got it from to assist me.

I spent some time fiddling with it (don't know that I could return it now since it's obvious I was messing with the foam) and I can now cut the coral pieces if and only if I stand up to exert more pressure on it, use 3 sheets of cardstock as a shim, and use very thin paper. I'd planned on using Bazzill but that will never work!!

The "plants" are a bit better. I'm going to try them with cardstock, but probably not Bazzill. You can expect these to be extremely varied in texture!

I went to Jo's and finally found the 1.00 ink pads and 1.00 stamps... the stamps are all ones that are too cheesy for me... but I love the 1.00 ink pads!!!! I found the perfect shade of blue for my cards! Yipee!
