ABCs of a Nursing School Grad Trip + FL Keys Mini Report;D is for: Dang! Last Chapter of this TR...

Well, @franandaj and @Steppesister ...

You are both very, very mis-guided.
I mean, really. Sending her off on her own to Space Mountain so you can have fun?

WITHOUT ME?!?!?!?

Besides. I plan on bribing the Fun Wheel of Death operator to keep her on that for a couple of hours.
No need to risk a short line.

Really you two.
You need to plan these things out a bit better.

Hmmm, Alison, sounds like we need to up our game a bit. Either that or just let ponzi take care of his teenager for us. ;)

JK/JK!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be fun having her with us! I'm looking forward to meeting her and hanging out with her. :)

You do realize if you send her on Mickey's Wheel of Death, she may end up back in your room for.... HOURS.

Hmm....

There were actually a couple of folks who seriously considered it. Maybe someday I'll go with someone I know. :)

Well, if I'm ever there solo again.
I'd really like to try it.
But probably wouldn't go by myself, I don't think.

The only one I saw was on Chef, who came to the table sometime around the 2nd red meat course. Very nice guy!!

Oh! The chef came out! Nice!

Nor Mike's. Honestly, I think it's a unique kind of dining that not everyone would be comfortable in. Totally okay. More ADRs available for the rest of us.

::yes::

I enjoy my solo trips a lot. Trips with friends are the best, but solo is very nice too.

True. But... I either go with the kid or kids... or alone.

Because those are business casual. This is... not.

Discrimination!!!!

It's dressing up if you actually intend to use the costume for what's it's intended. ie. Ballroom dancing.

And no, just not a lot of opportunity nowadays to costume.

Yup.

I'm seriously considering going to a Dapper Days sometime in the next few years. I've wanted to do that for A LONG time!

Cool! That'd be fun.

I hate that I WAY overguessed on your Contest. Might cost me chocolate. I mean I went with (yes, I actually took time to calculate and do the math) an average of 7 minutes per wait for your 19(?) trips. Factoring in the time you already gave us on the front end. Sadly, I forgot to consider it was... you I was calculating for.

 That'll learn ya.

Well, actually, yes. No one can see you all dressed in that thing. ;)

Ah... Wait... Isn't that thing pretty much transparent??

And that is understandable. It makes me incredibly sad that a few rotten apples have messed this up for some really great men. Sad.

:sad2: I see a cute little kid who's staring at me and I can't even really smile back.

It's a very quiet, sedate, peaceful space worth pausing in for even a few minutes.

Sounds pretty nice.

Slow down. Stop. Smell the lobbies' roses..... Feel that? It's called vacation and RESTING!

"RESTING".... what is that?

It was in my bag. Just felt weird about wearing it with a rhinestone tennis bracelet.

Ah. Thought so.

Tuxes or jeans... equally sexy. I mean knowing your lady's name certainly helps too... :groom:

::yes:: I can see that.

I believe it was a bell for summoning service. I never needed it! There was always someone very nearby to see to my needs.

That's what Fiona said.
But I figured you'd never need it.

I'm betting if it was ever rung, the servers would feel they'd somehow failed, considering how attentive they were.

I had to do some further research, because I'm kinda nerdy like that. I didn't know what chaptalizing was until I looked it up. Now I know! ;)

So what does it mean?

I was wondering if anyone would actually catch that or not. Yes!!!! I truly was PERSONALIZED! My name, my occasion. Just too cool for school. I'm glad I got this, I was looking at my photos and had no idea anymore what half the stuff I even ate was. But yes, one more detail not lost on V&As.

I didn't catch it at first. But then I saw "personalized" and thought "where"?

This was very light. Almost like finely chopped green onions, kinda.

Really! I never would've expected that!

Him. By a long shot. I've learned most of what I know about wine from my neighbor- the WVV wine rep who actually sells to Disney (and is there right now schmoozing with the proprietor/chef/steward of Artist Point and a couple of other places). We do a lot of wine chat over cards and it's free unlimited wine if I cook. Sweet deal, if you ask me.

Not too shabby!

I was in heels. And still on them. So....

Hmmm.... They didn't seem too high though... I dunno....

Me neither. I think of all the special touches, this was certainly the most classy!

I thought so. That just made me go... "No way."

Those were my two favorites. I love hard and soft cheeses alike, and enjoy a stinky cheese if paired well, but the soft cheeses are my favorite.

Thanks. Don't know if I'd find those up here though. But worth a shot.

Well, it had never happened to me either!

Oh? No encounters on the monorail?
This was your second one of the night, really.

It was so funny. I about died laughing. :rotfl2:

Definitely made the evening a bit more enjoyable in the end.

I'm happy for you! :)

It was a bit more than it actually HAD to be. 4 glasses of wine and that tip was quite possibly quite a bit more than it needed to be. ;)

Ah. But exceptional service demands an exceptional tip. At least I think so.

I always wanted to stay at the GF. But somehow the Poly was very comfortable. :thumbsup2

I tried. Maybe again sometime... I think if I resort to bribing...

Oh? I respond well to bribes.

I KNEW that's how you'd answer! (See I DO read your updates!) Excuse me for taking liberty with predicting your comeback up there ^.

 I answered it before I saw your prediction!

I never even lifted the lid. Not necessary.

didn't think so.

Maybe if we went halfsies. I get it from March-October though.

NO WAY! People park their Corvettes up here between October and May.

Well, certainly not me!

Oh, no. Of course not.

Leave that evaluation up to me in March...

Uh, oh.
Last time I did that.... two ladies left the DIS!

REALLY?! I thought this TR was almost done. No?

YAY! I get more reading material AND I can widen my lead.

Still have Alberta trip and a brief nod at Vegas.

Ummm... lemme think about it.

Oh, ok. I guess.

:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

:goodvibes

Looks nice but I'll probably never do it. One for the price and two because I don't eat any seafood. I'm a very picky eater. I think I would be embarrassed. Also, I don't drink wine or coffee. I'm the weirdo that gets steak medium well and uses ketchup.

Hmmm, Alison, sounds like we need to up our game a bit. Either that or just let ponzi take care of his teenager for us. ;)

JK/JK!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be fun having her with us! I'm looking forward to meeting her and hanging out with her. :)

Actually... she has a very dry, very fun sense of humour.
I hope she doesn't shut down and shut up with you guys.
I think she will though. Ah well.

You do realize if you send her on Mickey's Wheel of Death, she may end up back in your room for.... HOURS.

Actually... this one has me... a bit sad.
I said I'd do every ride with her, but....
I felt sick for a good 30 minutes (or longer) when I did Mission Space .
And after you saying you felt fine on MS but were sick after MNSFWoD....

Just... no.

I will be back to comment on you V&A's update but I can't do that justice from my phone so I'll just comment on some chatter.

That's those gps tiles, right? I should do that too... hmmmm..... where do you get them?

Actually they are Bluetooth tiles. I was mistaken when I first said that they had gps built in.

I'm not sure. When you find out, could you let me know?

I see you already figured that one out.

Nah... That's Alison.

:thumbsup2 I can do that! I've already got Harley tank tops, T-shirts, and jewelry. I even have a jacket and chaps, but that was 20 years size ago! :lmao:

You are both very, very mis-guided.

Oh no! We were not thinking of fun WITHOUT you!!!!

You have to admit though, it might sound funny to Ruby. "Dad was really nice, he got me an extended ride while he waited. But don't worry he wasn't alone, he had those two nice ladies. I'm not sure why he kept referring to them as 'his harem'."

Actually... she has a very dry, very fun sense of humour.
I hope she doesn't shut down and shut up with you guys.
I think she will though. Ah well.

I hope not. Make sure she knows that I play sax & flute and have been accused of using the clainet as a weapon on a jazz audition in college. Liesa played flute and oboe, so we're woodwind buddies with her at heart! In fact rehearsal begins soon...

I have been known to have a rather dry sense of humor as well. ;)

If you take the outside, non-swinging gondolas it's just like a regular ferris wheel. The swinging cars are the ones that seem to cause white knuckle nausea, perhaps you can make a compromise with her.

When they were building Carsland, I would ride it often for excellent vantage points and photo ops.

I think I'll have to actually look at the site I found.

Too big, huh? Maybe wear a sweater or something underneath.

And pkondz does not do as..... er.... butt-less chaps.
Thanks. I'll freeze. (and have! -28F)

Oh no! We were not thinking of fun WITHOUT you!!!!

<slightly mollified>

"Who exactly are these 'harem' women????"

I hope not. Make sure she knows that I play sax & flute and have been accused of using the clainet as a weapon on a jazz audition in college. Liesa played flute and oboe, so we're woodwind buddies with her at heart! In fact rehearsal begins soon...

Would you mind if I forward that to Kay's email? Fran plays... sax?

have been known to have a rather dry sense of humor as well. ;)

Oh? I thought you and Liesa of the Tequila had more of a wet sense of humour.

If you take the outside, non-swinging gondolas it's just like a regular ferris wheel. The swinging cars are the ones that seem to cause white knuckle nausea, perhaps you can make a compromise with her.

Yeah.... no. There's no way she'd not take the swinging car.

Just like I told my kids....

If you can make the decision to ride it, you're old enough to find your own ride back and puke in the room yourself. ;)

Man, I'm never going to get to DL!

And Ponzi, shouldn't you be working on shout outs on your own TR?

Would you mind if I forward that to Kay's email? Fran plays... sax?

Go ahead and send it to her. Fran plays clarinet as her first instrument (in the concert band) and sax as her second (in the jazz band). She plays like 5 other instruments too.
