Have any of you diser's just had to see had BAD ABC Commissary could be. I just find it difficult to understand how it is dissed on here all the time and it hasn't changed. I have yet to give in but maybe this trip!

Don't go...it IS bad  The food was so inedible we could not finish it, had to through it out after eating a few bites. Even my older DD who will eat a cheeseburger from anywhere (even with the whole grain buns) could not eat their cheeseburger :sad2:.

I'll be honest...the last meal we had was during SWW and we were starved, scorched hot didn't care anymore at that point. I don't even remember what everyone else had aside from me and ds6. I had the oriental salad and to me thankful surprise - it wasn't bad at all - actually okay. It needed some sort of protein to go with it, but it really wasn't bad. DS6 had the kids chicken nuggets and he wasn't impressed - I wouldn't have been either. Everyone else just suffered through what they could.:lmao:

It was cool inside and we got a cold caffinated drink so it was enough to get us through.

It really is the stuff legends are made of as to how consistently awful it is :rotfl2:

The food is honestly not the greatest but it's a nice place to cool off. that's where we often end up because we get frustrated, hungry and need food NOW. I agree with PP none of my girls liked the chicken nugget. they looked like that had been cooked several hours before being served

Believe the overwhelming response about this place being bad, it is that bad. I only step foot in the ABC for two reasons; 1. to use the restroom (they are clean) 2. sit down with a Coke and cool off. But there is no way I will ever eat at this place again. Once was enough for me. ;)

That just boggles my mind! I just don't get it:confused3. I mean I get the fact that we are in an amusement park but other locations are good! Thanks Y'all!

Well...to be fair, we've found most of the cs in DHS to be pretty mediocre. Somehow, ABC manages to really be bad though - year after year!

are ppl not complaining? I mean if enough ppl continue to complain they would possibly do something about it..I hope..

Who knows??? Most people probably only eat there once and don't think about it. I don't think most people really expect much from theme park food in general.

This place has been horrible since at least 1991 from my personal experiences there. Considering it opened in '89 - who knows :confused3

Again though - the salad I had was perfectly acceptable - just could have used a protein. Ugh...I just had flash backs of the curry bowl and cuban sandwhich in my mind

Reading most folks' comments, ABC Commissary seems to be a culinary wasteland. I wouldn't go nearly that far. I've enjoyed the fried fish well enough; not quite as good as Long John Silvers, but good enough. And the place is nicely air conditioned!

It won't compete for a spot on my favorite World CS restaurants (maybe favorite DHS CS restaurants), but I will go back.

Then again, I seldom eat Disney burgers.

Well ... we had a quick lunch there. I had the fish and chips and thought they were more than bearable -- actually quite good  A little background: I'm a bit of a food snob, a certified bbq judge soon to be a master certified bbq judge, and always do the DxDP when staying at Disney --- I love good food. :thumbsup2 I would eat there again.

NOTE: The Commissary is modeled after the eateries at movie
studios where stars would eat. If this is true, it is no wonder that
the Golden Age of movies died. This is arguably the worst eatery
in all of WDW. It has a limited menu, and the items are far, far
below average in quality and taste. In many eateries, the food "is
to die for"; here, the food is "to die from".

That would be enough right there to keep me away. Long John Silvers is not exactly a culinary sensation itself, and to not be at it's level says, Stay away. :lmao::lmao: (J/K)

I've eaten at Fairfax Faire the last 2 trips for cs at DHS and found it to be very good. It has a rib/chicken combo camparible to Cosmic Rays and a bbq sammie that was quite good. Also like Studio Catering pretty well. But someday I'm gonna get my nerve up and try ABC just to see if it can possibly be that bad. BTW, the burgers at Backlot Express were the worst I've had, but their fries were great.

I've been there twice, and it's been fine both times, though I've never liked the desserts there.
