Anyone else watching the special about John Ritter on ABC? I am in tears listening to the actors from his recent show. People really loved him. Well, going back to watch the rest of it. Just had to grab some more tissues.

Not recording, but watching, laughing, crying.....

I was watching BB and wished that I had watched it. Wacthed just a few minutes when I saw this and started crying.

I watched the whole thing and I'm just sobbing at the end of it. I have to go to bed now.
FYI there is a special in VH1 at 11PM eastern about John Ritter mainly with stuff from Entertainment Tonight, but I don't know if I'll be able to stay up.

I am STILL crying after seeing this special.....he was a truly good Man and never had anything Bad to say about anybody.......God Bless you John, and watch over all of your family from above....:(

They really did a great job on the special. It was fun looking back and remembering some of the funny scenes he's done over the years.

I always respected John for doing the telethons for United Cerebral Palsy. I grew up with a boy who had CP, so that cause always hit close to home, and I would faithfully watch the telethon each year.

I didn't realize that he died on his little girl's birthday. How sad.

I caught all but the first 10 minutes. I was sobbing by the end.

Oh boy, by the sound of all the "tears", I sure am glad I missed it!

A dear friend of mine worked with John Ritter several times & he said that John's Mom suffered from Alzeihmers & was in a home & John knew that his Mom loved choir singing.....so he would often get a choir to go to the nursing home & sing to his Mother. What a wonderful thing to do.

May he Rest in Peace now. Obviously, his work was done here on earth. Now he will continue his journey in eternity. (So sad about him passing on his little girl's b-day!) :(

I knew it was going to be sad, and it was, but also funny. I loved the story of John (bachelor #3) and his friend (bachelor #1) making rude noises and doing whatever they could to fluster the poor guy who was bachelor #2 on "The Dating Game."

Mishetta, I know what you mean about missing it, but now I wish I was able to record it...it was indeed a wonderful tribute. Brought a smile and tear at the same time. I wish I saw it from the beginning too, but missed about 15 minutes.

I took a picture of John Ritter's "Hollywood Star" at the Universal Studios in Florida. I remember pointing it out to my parents saying "He's from 8 Simple Rules!!!!!" a few months ago. I went back this sunday to take a picture as a tribute to him.

John Ritter Star at USO

If any of you are going to Universal Studios and want to see it, it is on the sidewalk on the side where T:3D and the Horror Makeup Show are...near Mel's Drive In restaurant.

I had no idea it was on got home from work to find the last 45 minutes. What an incredible man! I'm so glad that they did a tribute to him....and what a tearjerker!!
He will be sadly missed by many!!

I did not know any thing about the tribute so I missed it.:( :( :(

I Tivo'd it and watched later....It was wonderful...I sobbed and laughed through the entire thing...a wonderful man....he will be missed...

I TiVoed it too. PM me if you want a tape.

I'm out on the west coast, and just got through watching it. I'm sooooo glad I did. That episode where Jack Tripper on Three's Company was playing the drunk guy, I was about to pee my pants, I was laughing so hard. In between I was totally in tears, not only because he's gone, but just about how much everyone loved him and talked about how much joy and happiness he brought to so many people. That's so rare. How wonderful for John to be remembered so fondly by so many. I grew up watching him on TV, from Three's Company to Slingblade to 8 Simple Rules. What a wonderful human being. Many many props to one of the greatest examples of a human being I've ever seen.
