ABC Commissary--something for everyone???

I would say head to the Backlot! At one time we sort of liked ABC Com. but, the last two times we went there for lunch, it was horrible! Just plain disgusting food all around! I really don't think DHS has any real great CS places, but we will not return to ABC Commissary anytime soon!

I can't agree with you more. We used to go for breakfast there only for the cinnamon rolls (they were the same ones that they served anywhere else) until they decided to do away with breakfast so we thought we would give it a try for lunch. Never again....the 4 of us could not eat our food because it was so tasteless and disgusting. We all ended up throwing everything out and headed to the Writer's Stop for some pastries. The only CS that we like there is Backlot. We used to like TS Pizza Planet but were unimpressed the last time we were there so we will not be doing that one for awhile either. As for CS, we would much rather leave DHS and head over to Beaches and Cream or Hurricane Hannah's at the Beach Club and get a burger and then some ice cream.

It's pretty unfortunate that most of the CS restaurants at HS are the least favorites among most people. My kids enjoy Pizza Planet, but my dh and I feel that most of the cs restaurants are average at best.

ABC Commissary is tghe only restaurant in all our trips to Disney thaat was absolutely awful. We could not eat it and my grandma got a little sick from her food (not terribly so, just enough though.) I actually asked to speak with a manager and he said the food was not acceptable and refunded me the cost that we would have paid for all the food had we not been on the DDP. We'd give it another try once we start reading good reviews but that has yet to happen.
Why can't they get it right at HS? Every other placce has some great CS options but there is so hard to find something good. We eat a lot of junk food that day, pastries, popcorn, Mickey Bars. My kids love that day, it's all junk food all day. The most healthy they get that day is a salad with the pizza at Pizza Planet at dinner.
