ABC Commissary at HS

Last week my DH and I ate at the ABC Commissary. It was terrible! We chose it because it is inside and air conditioned. My fish and chips were tough and flavorless. He had a hamburger which he said was like shoe leather. Wonder why their food is so bad? We were there by noon, so it's not like it had been sitting for hours. We had eaten there maybe 10 years ago, and I got a Cuban Sandwich which I thought was terrible. We just decided to give it a try again. Earlier last week we had a hamburger at Pecos Bill's, and it was really good. We have always liked pretty much any other CS restaurants at WDW. Does anyone know why their food is different?

I don't know why, but we've always been disappointed at the Commissary.

I was considering stopping there for the chicken curry on my next trip. Anyone had that? Is it horrid, ok, or good?

I had a hamburger last week and it was YUCK. The chocolate mousse was good though.

I am sorry you did not enjoy eating there. Everytime my family and I have had lunch there it has always been a positive experience and that's what great about dining in WDW. Some people will think a location is great anothers might not like it.

Crud. I had planned to eat there on our next trip, but was wary because we've only heard bad things about it. That's it...we'll at the Toy Story Pizza place again. Thanks for sharing!

We have also enjoyed it as well. I guess we have been lucky.

I've never had good food there. Family always walks right by, no one will stop there again. Rather have ice cream and popcorn .....

Never had good food there either. We won't go back. Too many other choices to go for the bad one.

Add us to the list of those who now walk on by this restaurant! The last time we ate there was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving 2003. It was the longest we had ever waited for counter service food and it wasn't tasty at all.

We ate there...the hamburgers were BIG but TERRIBLE, the fries were tasteless and the desert was OK. The best thing about the meal was the drink (Coke) and the air conditioning. We definitely won't be going back. Pizza Planet, here we come!

Have to say we've eaten at ABC 3 times and enjoyed it each time. We find the food fresh and a good variety. I love the Cuban. Our dining review with pics is here.
