ABC 8x8 Prototypes

Well I was working but I'm not that good at prototyping and then my Wishblade isn't working. DH said he reloaded it on the new computer but it looks like something might be missing and he's not here to fix it so these need some work.

Landscaping:

I need to figure out my L and I'm not loving the white paper with the title so I may change that too. The stickers came out kindof glary but they look good on the page. I keep thinking of adding some sparkly somewhere but I'm afraid it doesn't really go with the theme. What do you guys think about a button or something with the hemp?

Night and Day:

OK this one is still realy rough since I changed my mind last night. LOL However these are the bones of it. I plan to add Night down the left side and add maybe a moon or something to the file folder. Then I'm going to add some sun rays off the sun in glitter of some kind and the & Day text across the bottom right. It also will need some more embellies once I get the other stuff on I'll go from there. How does everyone feel about the black and white backgrounds? I couldn't decide on one color for both parts.

Night and Day:
How does everyone feel about the black and white backgrounds? I couldn't decide on one color for both parts.

R- Rest & Relaxation Group 3 Both photo mats are on the right side page the bottom one slides out from under the other. 2 journal boxes, title with a pop dot R and embellished. I do see the tape showing from under the buttons these of course are rough drafts.

Q - Queue Group 3 - Library pocket holds 2 double matted tags embelished with ribbon, and mickey heads.

Title is a Giant Q with smaller letters double matted and embellished with Glitter glue stuff.

The two photomats open up to reveal a hidden journal box. Embellished with brads and ribbon.

Group 1F : Fast Pass Work in progress but this is the general Idea


F is double matted with some glitter glue stuff on it and it is larger than the other letters. 2 photo mats, and a journal box all embellished with metalic ribbon. i'm not sure why the ribbon looks off because it's not but anyways. I made the fast pass holder a tad larger than it needed to be so I will skim it down. I've not worked with vellum very much but i like the over all concept and look. I also need a few more embellishments but not sure what yet.

I will post my other 2 layouts tomorrow evening my back hurts and I need to get to bed so i can get up in 4.5 hours for work. I hope these will be liked. If I need to change something just let me know

Jenny, I like your pages too! Great job! The black and white for Night and Day is perfect. For the Landscaping, I think adding buttons would be a good idea.

Kat, I like your pages. I'm just not overly fond of how much the photomats overlap.

can i ask you guys a ?
i broke out my expression for this swap. it's been in the box for about 6 months now. so i want to use it to make my stop signs for my journal boxes. so if i put my 12X12 on the mat how do i tell it to cut as many 4inch stop signs that will fit on that page???

After you've chosen 4 inches and the stop sign, hit the Auto Fill button and it should cut as many as possible on the 12x12 mat. I've only used it once, but I think that's the right button! Before it starts cutting, it'll tell you how many it will cut.

Here are the rest of my prototypes. "Best Day" is not quite finished yet - I still need to add a journal box so nothing is stuck down yet. I do have all of my pieces cut, so I just need to assemble them all. For "Eat" I have some Quickutz utensils I want to add. I'm hoping to be postal with these at the beginning of the week. I'm trying to get all of my swaps done and mailed before it gets too close to my due date.

I apologize for not getting these up last night. I think that my wireless card is fried, along with my mini hub...I tried last night for an hour to get these pictures on my upstairs computer and I finally gave up. So I tried again this morning and it still isn't working, so I am using my work computer...It worked.

So, my thoughts...I hate the title. No the words, but just the way it looks. Of course, because my minihub isn't working, neither was the printer...sigh...I promise it will be better. I am thinking about cutting the letters out with my craft robo... The H will be centered in a Mickey head - just to tie the mickey head theme...

I personally like it when the letters are cut out. I like seeing the background paper underneath them. But I like the normal topper look too. How much did that help?
