We are renting a full crib from ABBF for our trip, what is the set up like? Did it take a long time? I just don't want a big project after a day of travel. I guess we will work it out, (dh and Dgpa are VERY handy) just wondering?

It's very easy. About 15 minutes for me. The box it comes in is heavy, though. Also, take note of how it is packed, as that makes it easier when you have to disassemble the crib and pack it up again.

Didn't take too long...just put it together BEFORE you are tired (LOL we were exhausted but ended up sitting around talking for a while- then only put it together right before we wanted to sleep, and it took about 25 minutes...probably could have taken less time if we were more awake and less grumpy! :lmao: )

My DH is FAR from handy, and even he could set the thing up without too much help. :-) No tools required. 15, maybe 20 minutes. If you have some handy men with you it'll be a breeze. I do agree with the pp who suggested setting it up as soon as you possibly can - it's nice to get it out of the way. If you haven't already considered it, I would also suggest bringing your own crib sheet. The linens provided seemed clean and fine, but my DD felt right at home in her "new crib," and I attribute it (at least in part) to having a little bit of home for her.

Good luck!

When bell services brought up our crib from ABBF, he helped my hysband set it up. I guess it doesn't sound like that is the norm. We were grateful and gave him a great tip :thumbsup2

Definitely pay attention to how it came out of the box. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to get it back in the box since I didn't originally take it out.

Thanks all! Sounds like we will be ok, it seems everyone had a good experince with abbf, what resorts did you have the crib set up at? Where did the box go during the vacation?

We stayed in a one bedroom villa at OKW and kept the box in the coat closet by the front door, where they keep the vacuum. But now that I think about it, a likely spot seems to be under a bed. I have no idea why we didn't do that!

DH is very handy and set it up in about 10 minutes. We stayed in a 1 BR villa at OKW and kept the box and cords etc. in the laundry room.

A tip for you - if you are arriving earlier in the day and hope to use the crib for naps, they don't deliver until 5pm or something like that. Since our stay was less than 7 nights but more than 4, we scheduled the crib to arrive at bell services the day before so that it would be there in case we got a room early at check-in (which we did). It didn't cost us a penny extra. We were thrilled it worked out so nicely. DS was in his newly set up crib by 2 probably and had a nice nap. It was a great way to start the vacation.

My friend´s dh spent like 45 minutes trying to put the crib together and when he was done the crib felt flimsy.

I, being anal about baby stuff, would not allow them to put their baby to sleep there, so my friend and I undid what her hubby had done and it took us less than 10 minutes to put it together after we read the manual.

Good idea! I will look into this! Thanks!

DH is big on reading the manual also, thanks for the tip! Does anyone have a photo of the crib, I have see the one on ABBF web site. Did anyone rent the graco stroller also?

Yes, we did 2 years ago before we bought a Mac Quest and we had a Combi stroller that was a PITA to push with our almost 3 yo DD, so we prefered to lug around the huge graco stroller, which was very comfortable for her and easy to push, great HUGE basket, I think it was a Graco Quattro Tour.

What is ABBF?:confused3
