AB discounts

I recently got some tickets from my friend that works at AB. I was under the impression that these tickets gave you free admission to Sea World and a discount at Discovery Cove. I called Discovery Cove to get some more info and the person there told me the tickets were for EITHER free admission to Sea World OR $30 off Discovery Cove. I thought AB employess got like a 50% discount to DC not just $30 (which seems to be similar to other discounts floating around), or that I would need 2 tickets per person to do both. I've also heard the people who answer phones at DC don't know what they are talking about...which I am hoping is the case.

Anyone know about this??
